Sounds like a lot of tears were shed haha

That's an interesting theory!

very cute and very clever haha :wacky:

Oh I mean how do you know that smokey's real name is actually Samuel? :D

So they never left/went back on the island? That's so confusing^^

Apparently that was what he was called in the script, but "the powers that be" (ie series creators and such) chose to not include it in the series. But it was posted on http://darkufo.blogspot.com/, so that's how I know.

Also, Jin is confirmed to be the Kwon candidate, but I'm not going to bother with the rest of the video(s) because it lags and that woman is extremely annoying. :dozey:

Haha what didn't you like Alex?

I think it could have been way better, but I still liked it!

Thanks!

Oh okay it's cool to know that, even if it doesn't really change anything^^

Ok. Well for a start it was built up to be something WAY more amazing than it actually was. I thought the end was fitting but I just would have rathered a good vs evil rather than religious crap. Like, everything on the island was way better than this 'sideflash' afterlife.

I agree with the fact that Jack was awesome for this episode! :D

A TRUE HERO!

I'm watching it for a second time tonight, I can't wait! :D

I agree. I expected something epic because the last two island episodes in the present were practically mindblowing. It was all just too easy. Who would've thought Smokey would've been killed so.. effortlessly almost? I still liked the episode, but it didn't live up to my expectations. Compared to other season finales, this one was rather tame.

I´ve seen it!

Mmmm... it was a little disappointing for me:\, but exciting at the same time.

As I see it, you can´t see this serie only like a surprising end because you´ll not have all the answers you´re hoping. That´s the point that it could be disappointing if you see only one side of the plot.

In the other hand, you have a great story with a lot of differents characters who live in an extremely situation, all of this surrounded with mystery, love, hate an other feelings. I´m going to hide this part ...

The Island it´s only a way to show you all of those things, but it´s not as important as we want. The most important thing it´s to know WHY they´re LOST. And that´s the answer that you have at the end.

It´s only my opinion.:)

This final was great ! Even if we don't have a lot of answers ! :D

What's funny is that I made the absolutely ludicrous prediction at the end of season 1 that Jack's dad (Christian) was behind all of it, and I stuck with it until the end. Although that didn't really turn out to be the case, I find it amusing that he was in the finale and was kind of the focal point in gathering everybody to the all-inclusive-time-bending-church/purgatory/whatever. Who woulda thunk it, especially early on?

Not sure if this has been posted but here is an explanation which makes a hell of a lot of sense!:

Everything that happened on the island, happened in real life. No one on the island was dead the whole time - they all survived the initial plane crash, etc. In the final episode, Jack died, Hurley became protector with Ben as his number 2, and everyone else who died on the island or elsewhere, died. Those who died without fulfilling their purpose (i.e. Michael) were doomed to forever be whispers on the island. Those who fulfilled their purpose (Jin/Sun, Sayid, etc.) were allowed to go to the Flash Sideways timeline after they died, where they searched for the truth and were able to right their wrongs, i.e. make the right decisions about their life that they should've made in the first place. Once they saw the truth/their past on the island/remembered it, only then were they ready to "move on" and come to the church, which ultimately led them to heaven.

Just finished it. I must say, I had to think for a little while to get it...but it's a good ending...

What isn't is that a LOT of questions remained unanswered..:/

I totally agree! This religious crap is annoying...

Agreed!

Now that we understood the main storyline, it would be nice to rewatch everything since season 1... aaaah :dead:

i've just ordered season one, so i'll begin rewatching it next week, can't waaaiiit

I'm not a lost fan, i've never watched it.

I would know a bit about it.

anyways, i found this pretty great.

just lots and lots of unanswered questions.

All the questions that were vital to the storyline and how it ended were addressed. If we never get answers to those millions of (mainly) mythology related questions, I am fine with that. But if the creators do decide to give us more answers (eg via the encyclopedia that will be released in August), that's cool but not something I'm gonna be waiting for. Lost has always been about the unanswered questions, I would actually like it if that remained so. Keep the mysteries and theories alive!

And re: Oracles view on the finale - people who haven't seen the whole series shouldn't judge how the creators decided to end the show (or any other aspect of the show, for that matter..). And how can you not get into season 2? :freak:
