Some questions/observations I had after the ep:

 

1. Have we seen the last of Sun/Jin in the sideways world?

 

2. What about Charlotte, Faraday, and Juliet? I feel pretty confident that Charlotte and Faraday will be at the concert that's bringing them all together, but do you think we'll see Juliet in the sideways world before it's all over?? I have a small nagging idea that it's Juliet who is the mother of Jack's son. but I am probably completely wrong! :wacko:

 

3. Desmond about Ana Lucia: "She's not ready yet"... very interesting!

 

4. I don't fully believe that Ben is evil. I have a feeling he's going to do something big to redeem himself, and that his seemingly evil actions- ratting out Widmore and Zoe- have very good reasons behind them (at least, that's what I hope). Ben's such a decent guy in the sideways world, I hope that comes through to the island timeline, too.

 

5. I don't think Richard is dead

 

6. What the hell is Miles doing running in the jungle??

 

7. Does the fact that Jack has no taken Jacob's place mean that the other candidates can now be killed by Smokey?

 

8. I have a very bad feeling that my dear beloved Desmond is not going to survive the finale. :bigcry:

 

oh, and 9. What about Aaron? Do you think he or the Kwons' baby will have any significance in the final ep?

 

Last night's ep was so good and though I cannot wait to see how it all ends, I'm going to be sooooo sad when this show is over!

I was wondering about that. The mother made it so that the brothers couldn't kill each other, which seemed to apply on them only. But Smokey couldn't (still can't? technically, Sawyer etc aren't candidates anymore) kill candidates so perhaps it has become one of the rules or something?

 

I am sure Desmond will play a big role in the finale (aside from the obvious Jack/Smokey thing), but because he's already playing a really big role in the alt thing, I think that his role on the island will be limited (albeit important). We don't know where he is yet and that could take a while. And both sides want him. Except if island Desmond already has some kind of task, but until now he seemed to just go with the flow.

The finale will be repeated on Tuesday, May 25 at 9pm. Meanwhile, Sky1 will air an evening of Lost programming on Friday, May 28, beginning with Lost: The Final Journey at 7pm. The finale will air again at 9pm, followed by Sky1 specials The End Is Nigh and Top 10 Greatest Scenes.

 

The series finale of Lost will be broadcast in a number of countries at the same time as the US transmission.

 

Fans in UK, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Turkey, Israel and Canada will be able to watch the ending at the same time as US West Coast viewers.

 

The finale simulcast will not have subtitles and will be broadcast at antisocial hours for some viewers because of the time difference.

 

Disney Media Distribution, which licenses the show around the world, added that 59 countries will be able to air the programme, with subtitles, between 24 and 48 hours after its original transmission in the States. Ireland is one of the nations included in the deal.

Yeah, that seemed sort of obvious when Widmore tested it half a season ago. But I don't think that's necessarily the only reason why Wid brought Des to the island. He didn't need Des to see if it worked (some guy already got roasted before Des had to go in) and I don't think Des needs to be the person to lure him into the machine per se. Smokey can't be that stupid and one extra sacrifice doesn't make much of a difference at this point. But as I said before, I hope Ben kills Smokey and I think Des' biggest part in the finale is in the alt timeline (not necessarily his most important part though).

 

I'm wondering how Smokey plans to use Des to destroy the island. It would be logical if it was something related to electromagnetism, but Smokey wouldn't survive that, right? (except if he could take over Des' body or something :tongue:) So far we only know he has a few weaknesses (such as the sonar fence and dynamite) but nothing deadly. It seems like an impossible task.
