But feelings are quite disappointed now... Four years they without rewards at home, so that I feel again, that their alternative orientation befits not for everyone. It is pleasant to know that Coldplay is still something personal and near only to some people :rolleyes:

Oasis is great, if you don't like it then shut up, I just gave my opinion. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean they suck! The Gallagher brother's may be arrogant and silly sometimes but the music is what really counts! And just because I like Oasis too, doesn't mean that Coldplay is not something personal and near to me, I like Coldplay since I was 10 years old and I still love their music very much, they were the first band that really turned me into music, that is really something personal.

No, they did not show up to the awards at all this year.

 

I think it was a great decision not to attend, the Brits really have become a joke. It's like a lot of things in the UK, we've all been told over the last 10 years+ that really the UK is too stuffy and formal, so the pendulum has swung too much in the other direction.

 

If you want to see a music awards ceremony which is done with style and panache nowadays, the Grammys does it far better than the Brits.

 

The Brits is still stuck in a 2000- "Cool Britannia" timewarp, that still thinks tacky crap (like we saw at the Millenium Dome) is cool. They have even tackier presenters and has-been stars attending.

 

Coldplay showed their style by not attending. :)
