I am really sick of all the Coldplay hate surreptitiously circling on the boards, especially in the designated "Coldplay" section of the forum. I think it's quite pathetic to be honest that people have nothing better to do than bash/take the piss of Coldplay in a forum dedicated to them. :dozey:

 

So you think Radiohead/U2/whoever are better than Coldplay. That's fine, people are entitled to their opinions. As long as you still like Coldplay too, or at least leave everyone who does alone and stop creating stupid and pointless threads.

 

Okay, so you used to be a Coldplay fan but no longer consider yourself one/only liked their older material but now are content in bashing their new work/now dislike them/thought VLV was crap. Well, you may enjoy p*issing people off/making yourself feel smug and superior for having another "opinion" but, well, nobody actually cares. If you didn't notice already, this place is meant for people who appreciate their music/the band members personally. If you don't, why are you here?

 

If you really want to stay on a forum for a band you no longer like or would rather slate off then it's kinda simple: stay out of the Coldplay section. Or better yet, find another forum. A one dedicated to sad haters/people who have nothing better to do in their lives but stay somewhere for no real reason. :rolleyes:

I agree with what you're saying 'loveintechnicolour' but don't you think it'd be more feasible to ignore said haters by not even acknowledging their threads, rather than writing a large, emotional response which would more likely play into their hands and give them the attention they crave.

 

The way I deal with it is by taking the piss out of the hater thread itself. However things like that don't bother me, why let it annoy your happiness?

Well, I've already failed at ignoring the haters by replying to this thread as it's a reaction. :lol: But you have a point, I think your probably more mature at dealing with it than me! I did consider it when writing my post, but I felt I just had to let it out. I don't actually post in any of the threads generally, as it's just pointless. However, I wanted a rant and I couldn't help voicing my feelings - I'm not very good at swallowing them sometimes. :P ;) I find it hard to not get annoyed even though I know at the end of the day I shouldn't let it get to me. Most of the them just want attention and feel good about themselves when they get it.

 

Your way of dealing with it is a fine idea and I agree - that's why I've replied somewhat sarcastically to certain posters in the past. :lol:

I actually had the irking feeling that Sara was mocking "us" but I went along with it anyway. :P Because I agree with her sentiments, sarcastic or not. :dozey: It was a funny post. Some of us feel seriously about it, because even though she wasn't serious, it's true.
