I don't think it's just an American thing. I had to write quite a few when I went to school in Switzerland.

Possibly, most standard English classes here consist of a research paper, some kind of creative writing assignment and a literary analysis of a book everyone has to read.
March 15, 201016 yr Author I like English classes because they're usually very easy. I'm good a bullshitting. However in English 1 the "professor" was a psycho bitch who hated men and was quite clear about that. I only got a C in that class. English 2, so far I have a 95.
March 15, 201016 yr I do that with short stories we have to read sometimes. :disappointed: I think that's why I missed a few questions on the last test. :uhoh: I haven't had to do a standard book report in a while, we just discuss the story and then sometimes write an essay about it.

I don't think i'd be able to read a book for a deadline and write an essay on it D: fuck it, i didn't even read the ten pages we were asked to read for class today.

No actually, I did an analysis of how Edward's treatment of Bella fit every single commonly agreed-upon definition of an abusive relationship, it definitely wasn't a "book report," I've never actually had to do one of those.
March 16, 201016 yr Twilight has got to be one of the worst vampire stories ever written. I can't even understand why alot of teenage girls love it, yet alone any other demographics.
