Do you just hate it because so many people say it? What do you prefer?

 

I just hate it because it's not the correct term and it basically means in my head a shit generic guitar band from the north of England with nothing interesting about them.

 

I don't like to put bands in genres, I just say "they sound like..."

Indie isn't really a genre though, indie has more to do with whether the band is on a major record label or an independent label.

I haven't even heard this guys music and I can't say I would queue up just to catch a glimpse of him and scream but I wish him no ill will for his sucess,he's making a living and I assume he enjoys how he makes it so good luck to him.

Not really, I personally don't like them very much, I think their guitarist and bass player arn't very talented and I don't connect with their music at all but I don't wish them bad fortune, again their making a good living and doing what they enjoy, and just the same as Justin Biber I choose not to listen to them.

why? because you say so? no offense but that's totally stupid, everyone has the right to like whatever they think it's good. And personally I think it's wonderful we have lots of genres and bands and musicians to choose from.

 

If anyone dislikes coldplay and describe their music in a negative way it's not a big deal, it's just another opinion. Get over it!

 

If we should only take seriously to the ones who agree with us about everything, life would be so boring. I'm so glad 90% of my friends are not coldplay maniacs for example.
