Rumors have been circulating that Ian will close down the board. Some sources of my own have word straight from Ian that it is true, and that the reasoning is the lack of respect he has been receiving lately.

 

Ian, please do not shut down the forum. So many people love this place and will continue to use it. Coldplay have a 5th album coming, we all would love to go through the whole pre-album excitement together.

 

So I am asking that you add your name to the list. Put aside differences of opinions or how you feel about recent events; the one thing we ALL have in common is that we like this forum (otherwise we wouldn't be here). So let's show Ian how many people want this board to continue. Please feel free to post a message to Ian or regarding this forum.

And even if it's not shutting down, this is a good opportunity for people to stop fighting for 2 seconds.

What happened here was a mess, but Ian has directly threatened to close the forum once advertisement obligations are met. I don't believe it will happen, as I'm sure cooler heads will prevail. But you never know.

 

Plus I like making petitions.

If Ian is indeed considering closing down the board, I can't blame him at all, as I feel he has been treated extremely disrespectfully of late in particular.

It's a terrible shame if you ask me after all the work he's put into the site over the years.:(

Yeah, a few people said some things that they would have just forgotten about in a few days, and how many thousands of user probably had nothing but good things to say about this site and the way it's been run?
