Honestly, who cares? He's the lead singer of a band, remember? Not a politician with actual say in government. Whether he is a "stupid" Republican or a Liberal Democrat, it really doesn't matter.

Yeah, but presumably he isn't living in a cave in Belsize Park these days and it's pretty hard to escape the fact a General Election is coming in just 2 weeks time in the UK :P

 

Their website seems pretty active with news items despite not touring, so I'm sure he would announce it if he wanted. :)

2). It would not help anything. Liberals who already like him will like him more, Republicans who already hate him will hate him more. No one is going to change their political association because Chris Martin said he was a democrat.

3). He's a singer, not a political figure (as someone already said). He doesn't know any more about politics than anyone else. And he won't come out on either side because if asked he'd say it's not his place or his job.
