RED RUM.

I'm about to watch The Shining. My mom told me she got a migraine from it, it was so scary. Should I be scared? Is there anything I should be watching out for? :uhoh:

I didn't find it that scary, great film though.

What a great movie! Very creepy at times (especially with the score).

Also watch out for the old naked granny at one point... not very pleasant :P

If its the film with Jack nicholson, I found it very scary. Took me 6 hours to watch it alone. Had to keep stopping it and come back when I felt braver. but then I am rubbish at scary films. :D

if its the tv serial they showed a few years back, then Bambi is much scarier

HAHAHA WHAT?

I mean, it's a wonderful movie, and yes, it's scary, but you're not getting an aneurysm because it has some kind of magical power.

I know. :P I'm just not very good with scary movies

No, it was the movie. :) I got really scared when the little boy kept seeing those dead twins. :wreck:

What does any of this have to do with one of the most famous racehorses of all time?:dozey:

Nothing. This is about a movie called "The Shining", originally written by horror novelist Stephen King. During the movie the little boy repeats "Red rum, red rum" which backwards reads "murder". I hope that helped your confusion :nice:

I saw it. It was good.

TAKE THAT BACK FOO IT WAS EXCELLENT.

It's intense but it's not scary, unless you are sensitive to these things.

  • 3 weeks later...

The lodge used in the film was Timberline Lodge, on Mt. Hood, here outside Portland Oregon, where I live. Beautiful old place.

I did a photo shoot there during a blizzard, lol- I think the mountain averages like 700 inches of snow pack each year.

The hedge maze outside does not exist there though- I think it was a lodge in Estes Park, Colorado where they filmed that bit.
