What hand do you use your fork when you eat noodles etc?

Featured Replies

Like spaghetti and the rest too. Do you use your left hand or right hand, to navigate the fork?

I use my right hand.

Which is the right hand to use?

as in, the one you mainly use for this purpose.

Whichever hand I randomly pick the fork up with. Foo.

Right, because I'm right-handed.

Although I bat left-handed. :freak:

I eat with my fork in my right hand and the knife in my left and I always get told off for it

Right hand. But for spaghetti I cut with my right then switch utensils and :awesome:

I hold the fork in my right hand when I eat and then switch hands when I have to cut somehting :wacky: so I have the knife in my right hand when I cut my food and then I switch again :awesome:

Uh for everyone who thinks right handed people should use the fork in their right hand and left should use it in their left, I'm very sure you're supposed to put the knife in your good hand, for the strength of the cutting factor. That said with noodles it doesn't take much cutting, but with meat surely you'd put the knife in your right hand.

Tools.

I cut steak with my right hand and use my left to hold the fork.

So... I'm not a tool :smug:

At least when it comes to eating steak anyway

It is knife in the right hand, like I said, V.V.SURE

I'm left handed, so I use my left hand.

If there's meat to cut, I still use my left hand for the fork and cut the meat with my right hand.

Traditionally you're meant to lay the table with the knife on the right and the fork on the left. So I've always used the fork in my left hand for everything. To use the fork with my right hand would just be plain weird for me.

However the spoon on the other hand...hmmm..I'm not sure. I think I vary with that, although you're meant to use your right hand. :)

Or you could just use your hands and avoid all confusion. :laugh3:

one fork in each hand, just shovel it in as fast as one can. just like in those cartoons

i can't tell my left from my right :uhoh: or remember which hand i use for each untensel, when i eat with a fork and knife.

:disappointed:

But do know i eat noodles with my fork in my right hand.

When I use a knife, I use the left hand ... and when I use a spoon or only a fork, I use the right hand.
