Is Viva la Vida too overplayed?

Featured Replies

I was way to overplayed here

The radio stations f*cked it up !

Now , a lot of people dislike it because they played it too much ... :/

Its overrated but, good. I don;t listen to it much, get frustrated half way through. DOn;t mind it with the music video or when it is live. Fix You on the other hand...... *shudders* I strongly dislike that song no matter what.

YouTube- Coldplay are shit[/url]

I love Coldplay but this is kinda funny:rolleyes:

(I guess some people are sick of VLV:dozey:)

(actually, it's pretty dumb:shame:)

:laugh3::laugh3::laugh3:

Yes Viva La Vida is not a good song.

It makes me mad because everyone that knows me views me as the biggest Coldplay dork of all time and automatically assumes I love this song when in reality I really don't like it at all.

I gotta say at first it was one of my least favorite songs on the album, maybe because of all the hype around it...but a few years laters it has become one of my favorites and maybe has the best lyrics on the album , that album might be their best, there just inst anything I dont like.

Doesn't it kind of suck when it's a really good song, but hype ruins it?

Srsly, maybe these songs are good.. just covered in hype acid.

I dont understand how "overplaying" can make you dislike a song, I must have listened to every coldplay songs hundreds or thousands of times, especially clocks, if it came on the radio i would turn the volume up and start singing along, I mean unless you are in guantanamo bay i dont see how it can put u off a song?

It gets old and you just don't want to hear it again.

But everyone is different. For example, if I don't have a new song once a week at least, I just get very sick of my music. I'm into exploring new music though, which not everyone likes.

I only listen to Viva la Vida maybe once in a blue moon. Mainly because it's considered mainstream now, and I don't listen to mainstream radio, period.

Well that's not snobbish and pretentious at all.

I always think Viva la Vida has turned old and has been overplayed and I won't really like it anymore and then it catches me again and I love it again. I just can't dislike that song.

Well, I am too much of a fan to be put off by ANY Coldplay song that gets played on the radio, it makes me get all tingly, when I hear one come on the radio.... My radio station here in Florida, plays, Clocks, Viva and Yellow, that's it, but when they do play them, I crank it.:D I don't mind other people here tho, that get tired of it, that's just the way you feel, and that doesn't make you any less of a fan, I just feel a warm rush when I happen to hear them on the radio, stereo, the way they move ain't fair ya know.... Oh wait that's "Soul Sister"

I love when I'm in a store or somewhere public when Coldplay comes on, especially if it's not an overplayed song that you would typically hear. I always feel proud, like "that's my boys":laugh3:

I'm not gonna stop listening to something because it goes mainstream. I mean, that's what happens when a band has a song that seems to strike a chord with a mass amount of people. Surely, if it gets a lot of people's attention that's not a bad thing...ok some people will know that song and none of the others, but it also might prompt some people to got out and discover what other stuff Coldplay have
