it says in the 10th anniversary interview that "i eat meat just like everyone else," so does anyone know when exactly he became vegetarian?

Hmm Im not sure, by initial guess is that it was around 2002-3. I was watching that documentary episode from the south america tour recently and he said he wasnt a real vegetarian and that he is what is known as a pescotarian/pesco-vegetarian which means he eats fish. He also went on to say he based his eating style on whatever he thinks he would be okay killing, to which he said he could and has killed chickens. So im not too sure what he is?

As you are Chris, shouldn't you know?:dozey:

Doesn't he like chicken but?

From what you say I would call him a pesco-vegetarian that hasn't excluded birds from his diet. That means he is okay eating dairy, eggs and probably gelatine (but that is very individual).

If he eats chicken he isn´t a Vegetarian!!!

If he eats fish he isn't a vegetarian either

Doesn't he like chicken but?

Do you mean chicken butt?

Maybe he isn't really a vegetarian.

You're suggesting he's only pretending to be a veggie?

:stunned:

Do you mean chicken butt?

I KNEW SOMEBODY WAS GOING TO COMMENT ON THAT.

No, I do not.

I KNEW SOMEBODY WAS GOING TO COMMENT ON THAT.

No, I do not.

So what did you mean?

You can eat chicken and still be a vegetarian. Chicken is considered a bird, so it does not count. It only specifies which kind of vegetarian you are. The thing is to not eat cows, pigs, etc etc. For example I'm a lacto-ovo-vegetarian. That means eggs and dairy is ok, but not fish or birds. As I understand it Chris is a pesco-vegetarian which also can be refered to as a demi-vegetarian (demi means half in greek).

If he eats chicken he isn´t a Vegetarian!!!

I'd have to agree with Katja as chicken is clearly meat.....

I thought he was a pescetarian....

WHOA SO CONFUSING

he is a vegetarian, he just doesnt eat red meat, i mean pig or cow.

So he isn't a vegetarian ;)

I would say, he is a vegetarian from time to time, that's all.

Vegetarianism is the practice of following a plant-based diet including fruits, vegetables, cereal grains, nuts, and seeds, with or without dairy products and eggs. A vegetarian does not eat meat, including red meat, game, poultry, fish, crustacea, and shellfish, and may also abstain from by-products of animal slaughter such as animal-derived rennet, found in some cheeses, and gelatin.[1][2] Vegetarians may consume these or other unfamiliar animal ingredients unknowingly, however.[3]

Vegetarianism may be adopted for ethical, health, environmental, religious, political, cultural, aesthetic, economic, or other reasons, and there are a number of vegetarian diets. A lacto-vegetarian diet includes dairy products but not eggs, an ovo-vegetarian diet includes eggs but not dairy products, and an ovo-lacto vegetarian diet includes both eggs and dairy products. A vegan diet excludes all animal products, such as dairy products, eggs, and usually honey. Many vegans also seek to avoid using any other animal-derived products, such as clothing and cosmetics.

Semi-vegetarian diets consist largely of vegetarian foods, but may include fish or poultry, or other meats on an infrequent basis. A pescetarian diet, for example, includes fish but no meat.[4] Those with diets containing fish or poultry may define "meat" as mammalian flesh and may identify with vegetarianism.[5][6][7] However, vegetarian groups such as the Vegetarian Society have stated that diets containing fish and poultry are not vegetarian, because fish and birds are animals.[8]
