Fix You on SYTYCD

Featured Replies

the song is really cut

It sounds so wrong cause the lyrics are all over the place....But then I guess everybody started crying so..But i kind of destroys the whole song

Haha, the song is like 5 minutes long of course they were going to have to cut it for a 1 minute 30 second dance. It's not really about the song anyway, its just there for an emotional background to the movement going on in the dance.

Yeah, I was disappointed of how much of the song was cut.

It's always strange hearing a song you know with lyrics cut out. (They did some good editing, though.)

But, I applaud that guy for choosing "Fix You". It's a beautiful song.

WOW what an amazing dance routine, Fix you is such a powerful song, people say they hate coldplay and then they hear this and it makes them cry, I cant think of that many songs that have such an emotionally charged, instant affect.

Yeah that's why I love Fix You. Hahahaha. Even thought that if I ever manage to SYTYCD I planned to dance a solo to this :P

That was really awesome. It's so funny to hear the song reach the fast part so quickly. I wasn't ready for it yet. lol

I saw this last night! The dance is just beautiful! :wideeyed:

i hate it when fix you is used for anything less than what its worth

this was one of those times

and who in this video with the friggin jingling ?? grrrrrr.... they butchered the song as most people do whith Fix You

god damn it either dont butcher the song or leave it alone.

^trust me, that's a compliment from these judges!

^^Would you rather no one ever use Fix You in any form but the full five minute original version? That's ridiculous. I'm sure any artist would be flattered that someone wanted to use their music to create more art. That's what its all about right? The art? Maybe it's just me.

i watched this on my dvr tonight, and altho I did complain to the roomie ("They just butchered my favorite Coldplay song...") when they started crying, I got all smug and was like, you know, the only reason that was so emotive was because Coldplay writes beautiful music :laugh3: she laughed at me, but she knows i'm right lol

no im not suggesting that but... eh Fix You ....well ... its the build up and the drums crash louder louder louder and it builds up to them singing all together (which is when they sound their best <3) and its amazing... and then it quiets down to Chris' promise

i just dont like the idea of them cutting it up/out like that

its like leaving out the intro riff to sweet child of mine.... its just.... no!

I just wish they wouldn't have cut the song in such an odd way. I think that's the reason why I don't like watching these dance shows.
