Totally over rated bands/ cds

Featured Replies

K, so I'm not entering the whole U2 - overrated fight, considering it's my favorite band atm, and i love all their stuff. I could be overrating them for all i know, i'm not expert.

but i think green day, bright eyes, muse, and robbie williams are overrated. People are all like OMGOMGOMOMG THEY'RE SO GREAT and then I can't even listen to a whole cd.

I think Morrissey is majorly overrated. i mean yeah the smiths were great, but him as a solo artist...I don't see the big deal :dozey:

The Vines..The Hives (although' date=' the hives singer was really entertaining at V2003)...[/quote']

Really? Wow, I found them so repetitive and I hated the singer that day! Damn it, stop speaking about how cool you are and do your job! :annoyed:

:idea2:

Papi chulo is so overrrated

*runs* :sneaky:

*runs after Lea to kill her*

Stooooooooooooooooooop

oh yeah kill me

i wanna see ma blood on ma dress

oh, God yes. Can't believe I forgot about Morrissey

to be honest, I can't stand The Smiths either. that is one horrendously over-rated band.

Smiths, over-rated? Not way.

Morrissey solo is hit or miss however, just like Ian Brown (of Stone Roses for those that dont know).

The Libertines' date=' Babyshambles, Green Day...[/quote']

Absolutely!!

As for The Libertines, just because they've got an ex-Clash member as their producer doesn't mean the two should be even compared!

there is absolutely no way that bright eyes is overrated. most people haven't even heard of 'em and the people who have tend to not like them. personally i think that connor is f'n brilliant and one of the most underrated artists out there. as for overrated. the most overrated of all time:

guns n roses

aerosmith

van halen

early beatles

elvis

nirvana

(i like nirvana alot, and late beatles is simply incredible)

yeah the smiths were fucking amazing man! but morrissey is a bit of an idiot i think, some of his solo stuff is ok.

Killers

OH MY! the most over rated band of the mo! i cant stand them, they're so bland!

Oh god yes. He was utterly horrendous at Glasto last year. It was obvious nobody was enjoying it.

And Bright Eyes isn't overrated. They're just really popular now. 2 years ago nobody knew them :embarrased:

get away! Never! I love them (and they are supporting U2 when i am off to see them!).

Personally i feel the Streets are over rated. Dry Your eyes is the crappiest most annoying song in the entire universe.

If they had used the chris martin version i may have liked it just for that, but it really has no excuse. The lyrics are the most blatant unsubtle dog shite ever written. any song with the phrase 'plenty more fish in the sea' needs burning.

hahahaha :laugh3:

that's nicely put.

On my list of over-rated artists I would put Beyonce etc., Radiohead and Morrissey (some of his songs are good, but they're not that good :smug: ). This is all I can think of right now...

And I definitely, definitely don't believe that the Killers are over-rated.

MUSE is way overrated...the band is good, and it's danceable but anything that's that unoriginal should not be hyped that much..thom yorke ripOFF.

no, muse are not over-rated cos they're better than the killers :P

Muse are actually relatively unknown here, so I totally disagree about them being over-rated. I can see how you might think that though if you lived in England :idea2: but, nah I still disagree

^ I agree with that. In N.Ireland hardly any of my friends have even heard of Muse (oh the tragedy!!) because most of the music in clubs is all dancey-dancey nonsense and noone ever gets a chance to listen to amazing bands such as Muse, or new bands like the Killers, Franz Ferdinand or even Keane, unless you listen to the radio 24/7 in the chance of hearing them :stunned:

Anyhoo, yes. :smug:

Franz Ferdinand are overrated. But they're great and I love them. I'd say Muse is overrated too... The Killers are as well....

woot :stunned:

Muse over rated

it's your ego who is over rated :sneaky:

Green Day are so fucking over rated they have one "good" song and all of a sudden then are gods

Did you just say that my ego is overrated? You sick child...

you don't go telling ma husband is a sick child without consequences :lips:
