January 15, 201214 yr UM. WHAT. Surely if Sherlock survived, then Moriarty can come back? SURELY? :freak: I'm being too hopeful. Martin Freeman was incredible (that last phone call and the cemetery scene pulled my heartstrings :bigcry: ) and the whole storyline of Sherlock being a fraud was played out very well. Wow.
January 15, 201214 yr ^ Yes, it was all perfectly done... A stunning idea.... It was a great episode. I didn't cry because I'd watched the film so I knew he would've survived, but still... My stomach's aching hard and... I'm so down, even if I shouldn't be, of course. I bet it was Molly who helped him to make all this... Mess. When are we going to have the 3rd season??? Very soon, right? :\
January 15, 201214 yr Both Moffat and Gatiss have confirmed that a third series has been commissioned. It's just a matter of when filming will start, which won't be anytime soon since the actors have such busy schedules.

Very soon, right? :\ It seems very likely that Molly had something to do with it. People have said that the earliest that Sherlock will be back is late 2013, since Martin Freeman is so busy with The Hobbit. But we'll see.
January 15, 201214 yr ^^ I second this. It deserves all the awards existing on Earth. Anytime soon?? Late 2013? :bigcry: Why you so busyyy :bigcry: It must be her, she disappeared and she must have helped Sherlock somehow
January 15, 201214 yr I'll save you some pain :P the scene when john started walking towards 'dead' sherlock, when they rolled over his body...the acting...it was so realistic it made me sick its rare when a movie/tv show can do this to me :|
January 15, 201214 yr Even though I already knew Sherlock survived (from the books and Jeremy Brett versions) I still had a roller coaster of emotions! I have to say though; I think they should of cut the ending where they showed Sherlock still alive. It would of made a much bigger impact especially if they then showed it at the beginning of series 3 instead :P
January 15, 201214 yr ^^ I thought that too... But he didn't  Maybe he thought that for those who haven't read the books/seen other versions it would've seemed a bit too improbable not to show it, if he survived...Or just too heartbreaking
January 16, 201214 yr Anyone who hasn't seen it can watch/download it here. I have to say though; I think they should of cut the ending where they showed Sherlock still alive. It would of made a much bigger impact especially if they then showed it at the beginning of series 3 instead :P I have to say, I was absolutely bawling at the end of this episode. I don't think I've cried so hard in a long time. . . all for a tv series. :| Anyways, the acting was just incredible, kudos to the cast for a fabulous episode. I went to my area band concert with my eyes puffy and red and my nose running and all nasty  While I'm hoping that Moriarty is still alive I seriously doubt they would have another main character come back from the dead. :bigcry: Also, I think the reason they showed Sherlock alive was: a) to avoid depressed/suicidal fans :P b) because if they're going to make a third season of Sherlock, it's doesn't exactly take Sherlock Holmes to figure out Sherlock's going to be in it again. As much as I love Watson, he's not much without Sherlock there too.
January 16, 201214 yr That was one hell of an extraordinary episode...even though I knew what to expect, I completely got dragged into the story. I don't think I have ever enjoyed watching a series that much...the acting is brilliant, the filming is brilliant.... *goes to watch it again*
January 16, 201214 yr Just watched the entire thing for the first time, and despite knowing the ending, it had me in tears and shaking at the end. Again. Hells, Cumberbatch, I didn't even cry this much for Clint Eastwood in Gran Torino
January 17, 201214 yr I can't stop tearing up every time I watch the last ten minutes. Ugh. It pretty much kills me that John had to actually watch Sherlock fall and listen to him saying "I'm a fraud, everything was a lie", and yet he's still loyal to Sherlock. Even when the whole country and the media sees Sherlock as a liar, John still believes in him. WHY AM I SO EMOTIONALLY INVESTED IN THIS SHOW

WHY AM I SO EMOTIONALLY INVESTED IN THIS SHOW Same here, except I am a complete mess, not just tearing up. I need to stop caring about this show so much :bigcry: Same, I just kept imagining myself in John's position and I can't. . . to have to watch your best friend die like that? Absolutely horrible. And everytime I watch it I see Benedict cry which makes me cry. :bigcry: I really want to see how Sherlock faked his death. I think the bicyclist that ran John over was Molly, and she helped somehow with getting a body to look like Sherlock and everything. . . but I really have no clue.
January 17, 201214 yr This tv series is brilliant! The last 20 minutes of the last episode was one of the best things I've ever watched in my life! Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch deserve all the awards for that! I knew that Sherlock wasn't going to die, but still the last scenes really broke my heart! :( That scene where John is saying goodbye near Sherlock's grave and when he says "Please, there’s one more thing. One more miracle, for me. Don’t be dead. For me. Stop it. Stop this." was the end of me! I'm really looking forward to the 3rd season but it seems take it will take a while :(

It's very rare for me that a show just grabs me and completely pulls me in so quickly like this. Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch are just absolutely terrific to watch, i can't even- :dead: Those 2 moments i've quoted pretty much killed me, esp the quote from when John is saying goodbye by Sherlock's grave, it's just completely heartbreaking. :bigcry:

Aw, that's okay! I'm still an emotional wreck. I can't believe how much that episode affected me. Benedict's acting continues to blow me away. The sound of his voice and his facial expressions when begging John to keep his eyes on him . . . :bigcry: Me too, I want to know! The collision with the cyclist was most likely planned. I have a feeling that the people who were surrounding Sherlock's body (if that even is his body) may have been his "homeless network", doing their best to keep John not too close. Hopefully, it will all be answered in the next episode.
January 18, 201214 yr Not sure if anyone has seen this, but I think it's amazing.. Some wonderful Sherlock/Coldplay artwork. http://sash-kash.deviantart.com/#/d4mq4s8 I don't know who this is, but it's incredible!

Hopefully, it will all be answered in the next episode. I seriously feel depressed from this. D: I don't know what to do lol dfksljd I forgot about his homeless network. you're probably right :surprised: On tumblr a lot of people are saying that he probably stopped/slowed his pulse by squeezing the rubber ball he was bouncing in the lab under his armpit and whatnot, and also something about a plant toxin that was in the footprint, that he could have used for the same purpose. http://madmaninablanket.tumblr.com/post/16080706227/improbablewhale-cumberlordie The only thing I don't understand, is that it was definitely Sherlock on top of the building, and it was definitely Sherlock that jumped, and it was definitely his body in the first few seconds at least, but how did he survive the fall? :freak: This is seriously annoying me that I can't figure it out! :P but gah tumblr is killing me with all these beautiful gifs and pictures ;____; :bigcry:
January 19, 201214 yr Saw this at my school, and I freaked out. I seriously feel depressed from this. A bunch of theories have been popping up, and they're quite fun (and informative) to read. And I agree; I don't really think there was a fake body. But all these speculations are driving me crazy. All the post-Reichenbach gifs, fanart, analyzations, and general sobbing on tumblr are killing me too. :( They're fantastic stuff from fellow Sherlockians, though.

That's so cool! If I saw that at my school I think I'd have a heart attack! By the way, I don't know if you heard about the Sherlock Fan Orchestra that started up, but I sent in an application and was accepted! :freak: :awesome:
