Doctor Who, Star Trek, the Hobbit... Anything else? That's a lot of projects separating us from season 3! :bomb:

I think those are the major commitments that those three men have, along with a handful of not-so-high-budget films (and other stuff) for Benedict and Martin. Everyone else seems pretty free so far, even though they may be doing other film or theatre roles.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see if Hollywood snatches up any of the other cast and/or crew members.

you guys dubbed it eh?

didn't like House that way [/color]

I usually don't like versions with French voices, but luckily Sherlock was available in VOST :awesome:

The programs are always dubbed on French TV, but sometimes there's an option so you can watch the original version with subtitles

I usually download the TV shows I watch, anyway :|

Oh, sorry, I forgot VOST is a French abbreviation :shame: It stands for Version Originale sous-titrée (so original version with subtitles).

I'm lucky I have the cable (well it's Canal Sat, I don't know if you know about that, I think it's basically cable but I'm not sure :shame: ), so I have the option, and more and more channels propose that option  I don't know how people can put up with French voices, they're awful and they distort the real dialogues :bomb:

I'm mostly fine with dubbed cartoons because it really is the only way the children are going to watch it (unless the actors sound really dumb and in some cases they do). What I don't understand is dubbed shows for adults. Surely they can read so I don't see the point in dubbing major films or TV series. Maybe it's a culture thing - our market is so small we'd get sick of the same actors speaking over original actors pretty soon. And you know, it's easier to learn the language if the show is subtitled instead of dubbed.

(Lol, I'm totally defending my (hopefully) future job as a subtitle maker :laugh3:)

Just watched The Reinbach Falls again. Anyone have any ideas as to what the clue Moffat mentioned is? I think I have a few candidates..
Not really... I'll have to watch it again and be extra attentive. Molly definitely has something to do with it, that's for sure.

Yeah, he figured that out in the lab. Probably he got someone to call John about Mrs. Hudson. +He picked the meeting location on top of the hospital.

As I see it there are a few loose ends:

-The IOU

-The girl who screemed when she saw Sherlock

-The bike that hit John, though that could just be a coincidence

- I'm not sure but I think the IOU's were Moriarty's way of telling Sherlock his fall was coming. Kind of like a teaser (you have to bear in mind the entire episode extends probably over a period of several months)

- Moriarty used the girl to convince the police Sherlock was the brain behind the kidnapping. He most likely made her believe Sherlock was the one that kidnapped her (mask,...).

- The bike was certainly not a coincidence. John was deliberately knocked over so he wouldn't be able to see what was going on (Sherlock staging his death).

I have a theory but am not sure if it is the right one :P

Probably have watched The Reichenbach Fall already too many times

^ great! Can't wait to hear yours :D

And if you would like some Benedict acting while waiting for series 3, and you like radio plays, I highly recommend Cabin Pressure. It's brilliant.

And if you just like hearing his voice, he has recorded some lovely audiobooks. His reading of Metamorphosis was great.

He can read these books in a superb way.

There's one interesting commentary on the three IOU's; someone said that they represented the three steps of Moriarty's plan (apple-IOU was when the binary code was planted in Sherlock's head, window-IOU for when Sally and Anderson began to doubt Sherlock, graffiti-IOU for when Sherlock became a fugitive). They explain it better here.

In fact, their entire site has a bunch of Reichenbach theories (including the girl who screamed and the cyclist) which are good fun to read.

YES. :awesome: You guys really need to check out Cabin Pressure if you haven't done so already, because it's really clever and hilarious. It's also great to see (or hear, I guess) Benedict's comedic acting.

Yeah, but how? It's gotta be a little more than a mask...could possible be related to how Moriarty faked his death? (he can't be dead!)

Yikes, I think that's going a bit far. I think it's a whole lot simpler than that.

Wait, you mean the IOU's? I thought it was just part of the storyline and overall theme, or as a way for Moriarty to taunt Sherlock.

Unless you're talking about something else, then never mind. :sweatdrop:

And I completely forgot to mention the John Taylor written series based on Sherlock Holmes:

That website was an interesting read. Comes pretty close to my theory

:( Do you mean this? Or is there another commentary thing for season 1?

In other news, I read some of the theories one of you guys posted here and now I can say that I'm more confused than ever. :blank:

Just watched The Reinbach Falls again. Anyone have any ideas as to what the clue Moffat mentioned is? I think I have a few candidates..

-Moriarty's body (why was it never mentioned?)

-IOU's

-MOLLY!

-the rubber ball he was bouncing in the lab

-the little girl

-Sherlock holding something behind his back on the rooftop

-whatever was in John's ear during the rooftop scene

-the bicycle

-Mycroft. Surely the British Government would not sit back and let Sherlock die?

yeah that's all I can think of now
