But the overall porduction quality standards are pretty low. For instance, I like a few of the shows CBS have, but they're not near as high quality as HBO's.

In case you didn't hear, Sherlock's only in NY because he was removed from Scotland Yard after drug abuse. Watson's not a heroic, respectable army doctor invalided home, she's going to be a hospital doctor that lost her license after a patient died. There's nothing respectable about that.

 

This also would not have annoyed me as much if it wasn't so OBVIOUS that they're trying to ride off of BBC Sherlock's (well-deserved) fame and glory.

 

Well, it's standard practice that some American televisions are 'adapting' successful British TV shows instead of making something good on their own. Or that's the general feeling I get.

Sherlock's just going to make it into the 2012 Emmy's eligibility period. I say they'll be nominated for special effects, music, editing, and writing, same as last time but I think they'll actually win a few. Maybe a nomination for actor? But idk since there are a lot of actors for tv shows. :freak:

I'll be ecstatic if Martin and Benedict at least get nominated for best acting. But yeah, I think they'll be up for the same awards as last time.

 

I wonder which episode they would submit for writing/directing/etc. "consideration" (or whatever the proper word is), because it seems like they can only submit one.
