February 27, 201115 yr Christina, "pissed" is British slang for "drunk." This is news. :| How do you even know this Violet? :P
February 27, 201115 yr If you submerge yourself in British society enough, you start to pick up on some things. :nice: It's also very helpful to have a British slang dictionary handy, in case something happens like this.
February 27, 201115 yr Ohhh. That's weird.  I was actually surprised to see how many terms in there that I use on a regular basis. I wonder what this says about me...
February 27, 201115 yr I just realised Theo is from Richmond ... which is only like 15 minutes away :surprised: and I saw the new video on NME yesterday :wacky:
February 28, 201115 yr Are you secretly British, Violet? :inquisitive: :D You know, I think I very well may be. A lot of my favorite bands are from Britain. I subconsciously use British terminology. (I have forever adopted the term "university" for what other Americans refer to as "college.") I can now (at least, to a degree) tell apart regional dialects of the UK. I actually had a kid in the 8th grade once ask me if I was from England. I have no idea how she came to that conclusion. At all. :freak: I think I would enjoy being British very much. Haha thanks Violet. :awesome: You're quite welcome. :nice:
February 28, 201115 yr We have a lot of slang words :surprised: I just use them without even noticing :blank:
March 1, 201115 yr Author Brit music rules!:smug: So now I'll be seeing Hurts at least twice this year, as they've announced a summer date in my area.
March 1, 201115 yr Lucky you :nice: Seen as my mum has taken a liking to them I may be able to persuade her to take us if they have any UK dates later this year :awesome:
March 1, 201115 yr Author Lucky you :nice: Seen as my mum has taken a liking to them I may be able to persuade her to take us if they have any UK dates later this year :awesome: Well as Hurts have a very "Eighties" sound, I reckon you're in with a good chance!:D
March 1, 201115 yr They are playing V. :awesome: I do hope they add some more UK tour dates, as I won't be able to see them at the festivals they are playing.
