August 18, 201015 yr In the UK (certainly to a far greater extent than other European countries I've visited, though maybe its a cultural thing that only becomes clear after a great deal of exposure) theres a HUGE difference in the quality of our newspapers and whom they're targetting, to the extent that you can actually tell a great deal about someone just from their choice in newspaper. Daily Mail / Daily Express - Age 40-80, loves racism, the royal family, The Who and Abba, hates recreational drug use and immigrants (legal, obviously, but try telling them that) and asylum seekers living in houses that cost more than 150k (ie, almost every house). Voted Conservative if they're slightly left-leaning, UKIP if they're not. The Sun / The Star - Age 15-90, loves racism, football and the Kings of Leon, cannot understand polysyllabic words. Main features include AWESOME PUNS in the headlines and breasts on the third page, every day, without exception. Voted Conservative. The Observer / The Guardian - Age 20-30, has a subscription to The New Internationalist, probably lives in Brighton and voted for The Green Party or lives in London and voted Lib Dems. Listens to obscure indie no one has ever heard of. Went to university and has a useless degree in Philosophy / Theology / Art History (delete as appropriate). I really could go on and on and on... Who are you and why you hacked Yossarian's account? and about daily mail readers description: it fits!
August 18, 201015 yr ^lol I thought of the same thing! Yossarian posting with perfect grammar kinda creeping me out.

August 18, 201015 yr hehe thanks:) I can't say anything bad about you guys as well....people in London were very welcoming as well....but I think that german and british media are still rather picking on each other....well, shit newspapers like Bild and daily mail I think... I don't like it when the Media does that or when people bring up the past, like I said before every German I've met I've really liked, and you're better at Football, you won against us, you were better, I don't really know how people can be bitter about it.
August 18, 201015 yr One is not amused:P One cannot respond to this as one is presently engaged in making a cup of tea.
August 18, 201015 yr Splendid, one would like a cup of tea also, then one must retire to feed the Corgis.
August 18, 201015 yr Spiffing. One shall ask the butler to retrieve one's finest bone china from the cabinet.
August 18, 201015 yr I live in the cacti-filled desert with all the other cowboys and ride horseback everywhere I go, y'all. Inorite? We're so hardcore. :awesome: Potato eating funny speaking farmers, child abusing priests and red headed children. Yup, that is basically ireland :blank: oh and where did some people get the idea that irish guys are charming and have cute accents? :wtf: :laugh4: I like Irish accents. They're nice. :wacky: No, it's cos they stole 50 euros from them while they weren't watching. BAHA. I don't like neither wear sombreros nor ponchos, we do drive cars, not horses or donkeys. There are paved roads in most cities. I don't have a miserable living. We aren't all alcoholic, indolent and good-for-nothing. My dream is not moving to the USA. I live in Malaysia, and ignorant people don't even know it's a country. :freak: ...Seriously? :freak: That's kinda sad. I would say that we don't say "eh?" a lot but I'm pretty sure we do. :blank: What're ya talkin' aboot? yeah, english accent is sexy  :awesome: YES. freckles? yes Red Hair? used to :cheesy: but not ginger. I AIN'T NO GINGANUT BIZCUIT :blank: I do like ginger hair though. Ginger hair is nice. :wacky: ridiculously posh, snobby... with bad teeth....and trench coats Trench coats FTW.
August 18, 201015 yr I know. I was merely making a joke. Speaking of which, I do NOT use the word "y'all" all the time, and despite my accent, I do NOT sound like an ignorant hick. I just thought I'd throw that out there. Oh, and generally, I don't like country music, either.
August 18, 201015 yr I think we still appear as cold people too much...and we are correct and polite some years ago there was this guy at the train station...he was from france and he sat ext to me and started talking to me...I was really friendly to him although I felt a bit awkward...he told me that I seem to be pretty nice and that he had the impression that germans seem to be rather cold...because they always want to sit alone in trains for example...but now that I think of this it might not only be a german thing...I don't know hm Here in Mexico the most common stereotypes about germans are the bavarian costumes, racist, strong and smart and very cold. Although the latter is more of a common stereotypes for all europeans (except maybe Spanish and Italian). Arrogant, rude, drunk, tea drinking, loud, shouty um other English stereotypes please?:laugh3: refined, horrible teeth, always take an unmbrella with them
August 18, 201015 yr Why does everybody hate our teeth? :bigcry: I think my orthodontist did a good job. :D :braces:
