October 12, 201015 yr So I'm sitting here listening to the amazingness that is Jeff Buckley, and wishing that he were still on this earth. An incredibly talented musician sadly taken far too soon. Who would you bring back if you could? Gandhi? Charles Dickens? Elvis? Martin Luther King Jr? Vincent van Gogh? Albert Einstein? (let's stick with famous people so this thread doesn't turn too sad)
October 12, 201015 yr If he wasn't dead you probably wouldn't have heard of him though (that statement is not aimed at everyone, just AusKT in particular). I wouldn't bring anybody back. I'd rather get a few people off the planet than start worrying about bringing some back, or likewise, get more people who are alive to actually start living their lives instead of wasting it.
October 12, 201015 yr My hamster Oh and jim morrisson just to know what would have happened if they made another album and to see them live.
October 12, 201015 yr I would bring back the spacedog, Laika. I wasn't srs though. I'm a Darwinist, over and out. Oh okay. So, would you bring back Darwin?
October 12, 201015 yr Elvis ! Diana, Princess of Wales John Kennedy, Jr. Freddie Mercury Mother Teresa Glenn Miller(/Artie Shaw) Giovanni Versace
October 12, 201015 yr Charles Haddon from Ou est le Swimming Pool. An amazing band who just released their debut album, such potential lost forever.
October 12, 201015 yr Gary Coleman, so I can apologise for killing him :bigcry: (Hmm only the ELS will get that joke and there's a decent chance she won't see it )
October 13, 201015 yr After consideration I have decided to put forward the case for people who received the death penalty or committed suicide in order to avoid imprisonment and coming to terms with the crimes they committed. This would include the likes of Harold Shipman, Sadam Hussein and Adolf Hitler. My only hesitancy for this is that the thread called for celebrities and I would hate for this term to be used describe these men. Through death they received escape from proper punishment and even if they did not accept responsibility for what they did, a life imprisoned would be the minimum I would expect them to have to go through. This is of course ignoring the security risk that those people would command and it is not bringing them back as opposed to them having never died.
October 13, 201015 yr Author I used the term 'famous' (perhaps it should've been 'well known') so that it wouldn't turn into a really sad thread about people wishing to bring back family and friends. Also - I banned you from this thread. :whip:
