AAAHHH Thankyou!!!

Im not gutted that he cant read music.... but holy crap its a mind fuck considering how awesome he is.

I only hear good music on the radio if I use the iheartradio app on my ipod and actually look for it. :|

You didn't even like MK Ultra or Exogenesis? :wreck:

I'll have to disagree again. . . I consider Absolution to be their best, with OoS in close second. :P

Anyway, back to Coldplay.

It probably makes it easier for Chris to make music when he can't read music because the technicalities don't bother him. . .

Where a classical composer would try to achieve a great sound via perfection in articulation and melodies and harmonies, Coldplay just makes music that sounds awesome to them. :wacky:

I guess that makes sense

...and no

MK Ultra and Exogenesis were just.... noise to me.

Eno has always been about "less is more." Compare X&Y to Viva la Vida (the albums). X&Y was phenomenal, but it does sound at times like there's too much going on (for me, "Low" is a great example of this). Viva La Vida sounded more clear and, in my opinion, there was less confusion musically. This is part of the reason why I believe Viva la Vida is (by far) Coldplay's best album. So whatever Eno did with Chris working on Viva La Vida, it worked.

Mmmm i disagree.

I think what you find in Viva La Vida as clarity ... I see as emptyness

given that yes X&Y wouldve been better (IMO perfect) without Low and What If and X&Y ...

but I thought the songs had much more heart and depth to them.

And perhaps there may have been more of a diversity on X&Y than on Viva but I like diversity on an album, and complexity..... I find it far more interesting to listen to an album with a wider range of concept and sound that you have to work out the meaning and mull over more.

...personally.... I'd like to see them make an album WITHOUT the use of a computer as far as creating a sound goes.

I cant imagine how much more real, and organic and genuine that would sound.

That would be nice, I guess something like Parachutes would come out...

But anyway, X&Y and VLV are totally different albums, they've both got their good and bad qualities... X&Y is more profound, often with complicated chords, but songs such as What If , X&Y and Low are just great in their complexity, and I love them as VLV's songs, which are revolutionary and lively and not so easy as you may think... I know that, I played them... For example the 2nd part of Death And All His Friends is 7/4, not really that easy.

Difficult Chords?? Next Album could just be their best if 'Brian Eno' thinks that Chris is playing a difficult chord...
