Who the fark are Jls?
you're probably better off not knowing
You're admitting that you didn't read the description/conditions of the boat tour, yet you complained to them about it? That is probably the first direct input that they received from any "fans" (I'm using that term loosely here), by implying that lots of people were disappointed. It's one thing to express it here, it's a completely different story to go to their door and ask them to come out just so you can tell them how disappointed you are and "oh by the way while you're out here I want to get some pictures with you even though I just told you that you suck."

Unbelievable. Actually I don't know what is more unbelievable: the fact that you did it, or the fact that you don't see anything wrong with what you did. You walked past me that morning and we briefly spoke (I was one of the people that didn't walk by the studios because there were too many people just hanging around). Had I in any way known that you planned to directly tell them you were disappointed, I would have begged and pleaded and told you not to because of how rude it is to them and the other fans. Gosh, if only I had known...

Knowing I had to get back home the next hours, I wanted to meet them like everybody did out there. It's normal. I had no time to lose. I got back home at night because of the traffic in London at rush hour. I do what I want as it's legal. I don't need to be lectured by you. As I said i'll be pleased to meet them another time when I have the opportunity. Everything you said is only speculations. You've got no proof of what you're saying. I'm not the only one that complained.

What concerns me most is that you RANG THE DOORBELL and seem to have no shame in what you did. It is extremely disrispectful to the band and also quite creepy that you were so persistent. You are not a 15 year old girl, but an adult who should know better. 99.99% of Coldplay fans would show more restraint. If Chris wasnt so polite and gracious, Im sure he would have been tempted like this:

Listen here , at the time you were ringing door bells I had around 15 minutes before I had to leave but unlike you I wouldn't of been so rude to go ring on their doorbell, I would've gone home and thought about everything on that boat trip and just chatting with some nice people. So tell me who else complained because I know of nobody ?

Ignorance is bliss.... :smug:

 I felt terrible that Chris felt he had to apologise for not being there he was busy shooting a bloody video which is the reason we were there in the first place !

it is if you don't want to hear 'The Sound of Music' ripped off and put into a dance remix.

I have no room for that kind of tripe on my Ipod.

I know especially after all the people who couldn't make it and would have loved every minute of it.

This indeed. :(

I remind you it's a company and not a house. However i don't see what is disrespectful. They're normal people. I didn't see you around. How could you see me ringing then ? You only repeat anything some people said which isn't true. How can you know I did it and in addition it would be me as you weren' t there ? What is fun is some "fans" are angry for no reason that is not their business (in addition) but i'm not. I never mind into people's business as I dislike when people mind into mine.

Indeed.

I now feel compelled to apologize to Chris for HIM apologizing

and reassure him that not ALL their fans are inconsiderate, intrusive ungrateful mooncups and such behavior definitely does not represent the majority of their fan base who DO appreciate what they do for us.

It's not fun:confused:

I've seen a lot of people say that they're going to have a word with Debs about all this. Everyone should do what they're comfortable with doing in whatever situation they find themselves in in life, I say. But I'm also going to be harsh and say that I think that's beyond inappropriate. If you went to a big party thrown by a friend or something and ended up having a disappointing time, would you then ring them up the following day and say "wow, your party sucked! Here's why I had a bad time and here are all the ways you could have made it better"? I obviously understand any email sent to her would be more tactfully written than that, but that's the essence of what I've seen people say they want to get across to her. I just think it's completely unnecessary to express negative sentiments about something they graciously set up for us, spent money on, and gave us the opportunity to be a part of, even if you did end up being disappointed. It's bad manners, if nothing else. It's the exact opposite of a thank-you note: it's a "nice try, but all your work totally let me down" note. And I can't imagine many people would write a note like that to anyone else that threw them a party or gave them a gift or opportunity. Most people would probably swallow their disappointment and shrug it off, and regardless of how high anyone's hopes were for this, I think the same should be practiced here for the sake of manners and good board-band relations. They'd probably never try anything like this again for us if they got wind of even half of what people have been saying on here, and that just ruins it all for so many people that didn't get this chance.

I guess the reason I wasn't disappointed is that I went into it with an open mind. Yes, I did expect Miller/Matt/Phil, but I also understand that once the surprise was brought to light, logistics kept them from being there, and I understand that. Logistics and responsibilities often win out over desire, and Phil told me later that he really wished he could have been on the boat with us, and that he planned to be, but then he found out he was actually supposed to act in the video and couldn't have possibly been there. To me that's a completely viable excuse. I also just plain old had a great time participating in the video. Yeah, it was cold, yeah, we were just extras, but I had a great time talking to people and being a part of something cool and big...especially something that means so much to me. Being an extra in a feature film or having a bit part in a commercial wouldn't mean nearly as much to me as being an extra in a Coldplay video would, because I love and appreciate everything Coldplay do so much, and they mean so much to me.

I know people are going to say my positive attitude on all this is just because I got to be on set all night and meet the band and get stuff signed. Think what you want. But upon leaving that boat, before going to set and before I even had a hope of meeting any of the band members or Phil, I was damn glad I'd come down for that boat party. Not only because I actually had a good time and got to be even a small part of something that means so much to me, but because I also appreciated what I believe they were trying to do, whether they succeeded or not.

I'm sending a thank-you note to Debs from me and no one else. Everyone else can do what they want, and maybe they already have, but I urge you to think about your actions before committing them and put them in context of another similar situation and what you've been taught about manners.

Chelsea out.

You´re so right, Chelsea! you tell them!

It is SO inappropriate of people to write a harsh letter to Deb and Coldplay HQ. And SO ungrateful. Please people - think twice before you do so... :o

I´ve said enough. There is noting else to say.

Please be grateful and cherise your luck to be on that boat!!!

And...can´t wait to 1. december!!!

Coldplay are the BEST!

So people have actually sent emails to HQ Complaining that's beyond rude

I've asked you whether you've seen me doing it but you didn't answer as you weren't there. Do you really think I'll tell you all the people that have complained ? You're kidding. I've received several private messages from people that agree with me. I didn't write Debs to complain and I don't know who did it. You see i'm not the only one.

WHAT!

Dear Assholes,

stop being assholes.

I was there and I very clearly saw you march over to the beehive

glad to hear you're not complaining to Debs though ;)

ohhhhh noooooooooo I can't believe it! :shocked2:

@fru.overvad I agree with all the things you said!

I was there and happy to be there but I think this kind of opportunity will never happen again because of people complaining to Coldplay HQ, next time they will need extras, I suppose they won't take fans just because of the ungrateful ones who ruined all the chances of the other fans to be part of it one day! Congrats people! You win! I'm very disappointed and angry right now

It sounds like coldplay will think twice before doing anything nice because of a few entitled people and someone with boundary issues. That's too bad for everyone else who appreciate their efforts and interaction (directly or indirectly) with the fans.

What's Deb's email I want to thank her very much and apologise for ungrateful people ?

I was there and I very clearly saw you march over to the beehive

No, i'm not, i always say in the face what i have to say, i'm like that.

Peace & love' date=' guys. Stop arguing. [/quote']

Elodie ...

Excuse me? Normal? It's not freaking normal to go up and ring the doorbell just because you wanted to meet them! I was also one of the people you went past on Fleet Road and we wanted to meet them just as much as you wanted to (probably more) but we like hell didn't ring their freaking doorbell. I was due to leave London as well but I didn't force myself into their privacy like that. I'm just terribly upset about this. It's not okay in any way. "I do what I want as it's legal". YOU'RE A GROWN WOMAN AND YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT MANNERS. I'm 21 years old and I seem to know a lot more about respect and manners that you do.

That was my little rant. I didn't want to take it up before (I knew it was you who had rang the doorbell but I didn't want to give out any names - BECAUSE THAT'S IMPOLITE) but since you admitted that it was you I figured I wanted to give my thoughts on it.

There. Done.
