FESTIVE (OFFICIAL) BOAT TRIP IN LONDON @ 5PM ON 25 NOV, 2010

Featured Replies

Afraid not, I recognise him from his pic, he was on the boat with us.

Who was he?

And has anyone asked the Oracle?

Funny how things develop on this board sometimes, we're days away from a new release from our favourite band and here we all are obsessed by some dude in the back of the video :laugh3:

I just looked him up on Twitter, he's Pete! I CAN TELL BY THE EPIC MUSTACHE

He and Will (the younger, dark haired video guy on the boat) talked to us for a while at the shoot too :D

Was that the song in the background when they were playing violin?

Because all I could here was some kind of accordion or harmonica thing.

You were hearing the sound of the actual violin part of the song, along with the piano part, and possibly an accordion. Sounds good, eh? :)

so lovely!

Woow, all of you being in the video is so cool :D

Well, I'm so so envy because this is so epic, but I'm also so happy for you :D You're in the Coldplay Video! What else would a fan want? Of course beside meeting them :P Thanks to our lovely boys that they care about us so much, I wouldn't ever in my life want to be a fan of some stupid shit fucking Tokyo Hotel (of course I'm don't want to abuse anyone if you like this band :uhoh:) So I hope you all appreciated it and that we'll finally stop arguing about all those complainments, disappointments and so on. All what matters is that we still love their music which gives so many things and that we love them as people too. Because as someone said they're normal people, but that doesn't matter to me. I would still want to meet them because talking with such warm and kind people is a great experience, and I wish myself and all of you to acomplish that.

Well I missed the topic pretty much at the end.

And. It seems I can't write in English.

I'm a pokemon. FAIL. But I just wanted to share my thought, well.

Nicole, dear, don't get too excited about what little you can hear in the video...it's not representative of the song at all!

 i'll just have to wait to see it on Wednesday, like I'm so excited I can't even speak! :D

:freak:

Thanks for calming me down lol

ANNA I GET TO SEE YOU IN IT ON WEDNESDAY

:D:lol:

:awesome: I hope you'll be able to pick me out from the crowd, haha :P

can I have your autograph? :shy: :wacky:

Of course, my dear :cool4: :awesome:

WOW!

I've just read to whole thread and all I can think of is how lucky the fans who got the chance to get on that boat in London (my favorite city) and be in the next Coldplay video are.

Can't wait to see the video when it comes out on Wednesday! From the previews, you guys look fantastic... as well as the band!

My experience of the boat trip was amazing. I can't believe that it happened actually. I don't think I'll actually understand that I'm in the video until I finally get to see the final result. Which I think will look great. :nice:

I flew to London for £120. I missed the flight back to Sweden six hours ago because the fucking flight coach was delayed (and my luggage was too heavy). Now I have to pay another £113 to get back home. Of course I was sad, of course I was angry. Of course I cried on my way here because it was so hard not to get that damn journey home overwith.

But I'm in a Coldplay video! I'm a part of Coldplay history! I met some of the best people in the world to share this experience with them. And that makes it all worth it. :nice:

Over and out.

Woow, all of you being in the video is so cool :D

Great meeting some of you for the first time and good to see some old friends again.

Can't wait to see the final product on Wednesday.

well i thought i would add my feelings about our boat trip...and all i can say is that we were all sooo lucky to be given this extra special treat it is a night we will all remeber and have a constant reminder everytime we hear/see the video, i had a great time and cannot wait to see the video! i would do it again anyday.....thank you and god bless coldplay ♥

A short review by me :) (well not that short  ) bit late I know...

I really enjoyed the last two days, meeting everyone from Coldplaying again and having this chance of going on a very nice swanky boat up and down the Thames. It was extremely cold, but it was cool to be part of their new video. It was quite interesting to be 'an extra' and see what goes on in these kinds of things, and pretty funny. Also hoping that you weren't the person who let the balloon go when it was the wrong time. It was nice to be one of the 100, a kind of camaraderie 'we made it through the cold and are in the video now' kind of thing.

I'm a bit of a pessimist so I had told myself that I didn't believe the band wouldn't be there. Before I left, there was a lot of hype and everyone thought it could be a possibility so I guess a tiny bit rubbed off on me :P On the night there was a tiny disappointment of everyone because we were of course all hoping that the band might be there or surprise us somehow. It reminded me of the feeling I've had after I've been to a gig and they havn't played any old/different songs again. The slight disappointment is entirely my own (disappointment of your own hype) and nothing to do with the band, because they don't have to play the songs, it's their choice and I've come to accept this now and choose to simply enjoy it (I used to get really annoyed about it). Same thing with the boat trip, people's disappointment about not meeting Coldplay when it was never promised is a bit silly (let alone telling them face to face about it :stunned: not good). I do feel like they could have given us a little memento perhaps for standing through the cold (but we will have the video as a memory) or a free drink on the boat..I don't drink tea or coffee and was told that was all there was.

Perhaps it was the cold on the night, maybe some people weren't very happy at not being able to see the band up close. It did feel a bit cheesy waving to them from miles away :P I do think people should be entitled to give their opinions though on the messageboard without being told they are 'stupid' though. Don't forget everyone on this board helped to build and build the hype for those who were going on the boat before the event! Perhaps it was just kind of frustrating because the band were on the land far away and we were on the boat :laugh3: (maybe that was intentional :P ) People's expectations were just too high. To be perfectly honest, I was fine with whatever was going to happen because I only had to travel 1 hour to get there. I was happy to hang out with my Coldplay friends :) The whole thing was hilariously bizarre and like a strange dream with these lights shining on us, lol. I wish I had made more of an effort to talk to more people! :( I thought 100 wasnt that many people, but there really were a lot of us! I was a bit sad that we had to get off the boat a lot earlier, as we could have had more time getting to know everyone, perhaps doing a Coldplay quiz or something. The karaoke was fun, and people were really good! (particularly The Scientist I think?). Hope someone let the band know their fans are talented :P (I guess Debs would).

I enjoyed very much going down to the set afterwards even though it was absolutely freezing. Me and Mich thought there was no chance of them still being there but we were proved wrong!! Getting to see the band filming their video and everything that goes on around was really, really great. Didn't notice the cold for the first part! There was one bit when everything ran through without stopping once, and I remember that bit was brilliant. :nice: It was nice of Phil to come over in his wig :P It rounded off the evening for me, even though I would have like to have met the guys, it was getting very, very cold. Congrats to the guys who stuck it out!! It was like a crash course in how a video is filmed that evening and being part of it was cool.

Thank you to Ian and Jen for continuing to run this great site through which I've met so many great people (including them of course!) and also to Lori for letting me stay with her! :nice: It was great to hang out with you, Angie, Mich and Kelly and see all Coldplayers who won tickets of course! Lovely to meet Sammy too. :nice:

Debs was very nice too. Was lovely to see her getting stuck into everything with everyone. :) Looking forward to seeing the video and knowing that I'm in it. From the set, it looked very magical too. Kind of reminded me of Imaginarium of Dr.Parnussus if anyone saw that film recently -Im probably not allowed to say something like that LOL oh well........ there are already photos of it.

I'll leave you all with one of my photos from the deck (didn't dare take any pictures from the set, security guards were too scary lookin', left that to the papparazzos) not that exciting Im afraid, just ye olde Tower Bridge which we sped under at quite a rate of knots :)
