So I know this math teacher at my school. He's super good at math and math teaching and shit and I've never been in one of his classes but I'm a geek so we've talked after school a bunch of times about math and school and shit. We lend each other books and I tutor his after-school math group (I tutor for like all the math teachers after school). Like he'll say hi to me in the hallways and stuff and I'll be like "oh cool lol there's Mr. so-and-so, hi". and it was not weird at all until today.

 

Um, apparently he has a history of having sex with his students after they turn 18 and graduate. Like these aren't just rumors, I'm sure rumor inflates some of them but he has a legit history of it, with at least more than one. Like not when they're underage, and apparently usually only when they graduate except he had an affair with one senior a little bit before she dropped out of high school after this weird multi-day affair during a break. And like. I just realized that I probably look like, I don't know. Like I don't want to be on like his Fuck List. Well I'm not saying he has that. but finding this out was fucking weird and awkward because I just realized that over the past year I'm afraid I was dropping like unconscious hints at him or something and... well I'm probably being paranoid, and I don't even know what's really going on. but. it's weird. it's really weird and awkward.

 

I tutored his tutory people today with my friend and when he came over to see what one of the tutees was working on I was like lounging in a chair with my feet on the desk and he just casually tapped me on the shoulder while he was walking past and I was like ";O___O" on the inside which was a little irrational but I'm like freaked out. I think I'm freaking out too much, like I get that this probably sounds WTF to everyone which it totally does to me but apparently all of the couple of ex-students he's had sex with (I don't even know how many it's been really) are consensual and all but... oh fuck it it's just so fucking weird and I don't know what to do. because I DON'T want to be on his Fuck List at all. Like I'm not saying he has one but like, having a relationship with somebody so soon after you were TEACHING them in SCHOOL is just like... I don't know it's weird and creepy and weird and shit. Like I thought I was all liberal about age differences and social differences in sexual relationships but this is freaking me out. so um.

 

I don't know. I guess I'll just avoid him for like the rest of my life. I don't know why I'm talking about it just it's freaking me out even though I know I can probably be fine with just avoiding him for like forever. um.

Like what I'm thinking is, it's strange that suddenly you feel this weirdness about him, and I get the impression that a bunch of kids around you heard about one case where he may have fucked an ex-student and then suddenly all these other stories fly about.

I know that's what I'm thinking too. But apparently most of the school has known about it for a few years and just since everyone knew nobody really talked about it, there girl that he apparently screwed while she was still in school apparently claimed that "one of them had to go" after that so that was why she dropped out of school, which is obviously such bullshit it makes me wonder if any of that's based in any fact at all but... I dunno. I think it was more like one time he fucked a girl like several months after she was in high school, when she went to college or something, but even that is weird and unnerving for me, so... um.

 

I hope they're rumors. But even my friend who freaking loves him (everyone is like SHE'S NEXT which may be freaking out but she stays after school all the time to help him grade papers and tutor kids and stuff and giggles around him ALLL the time and stuff, and I said she was a good student as a joke today and he went "she IS a good student, she's so MATURE AND RESPONSIBLE" which he says ALL the time and it's like creepy argh I don't know) says that it's true cuz I was like WAT today and everyone told me they'd already heard about it and my school isn't really a super rumors-y place so I'm more inclined to think it's true although maybe inflated by some people.

 

Bottom line is, I'm not for sure convinced but either way it's starting to make me really uncomfortable and I'm getting a little paranoid...

I'm quite sure he wouldn't just do something inappropriate and it would be a gradual thing where he first subtly made his intentions clear before becoming more and more obvious. If it is freaking you out the only thing you need to do is not encourage anything of that nature. If he was ever to do anything then obviously report it. There would be no way it would be a 'one of you leaves' situation, he'd be out straight away.

It was just so... unexpected because he does have a bunch of students he hangs out with and I've heard people go "URGH Mr. blah blah is SO CREEPY" because of that but I never saw it as that and apparently most of my friends who aren't the rumory type are convinced of it but I guess I can just relax now yay. :nice: I hope so anyway. Pupils sometimes like to make those things up. The Spanish assistant in a school I used to work allowed the girls to add him on Facebook. Apparently he liked a few of their photos and commented on one photo, saying it was nice or something so they accused him of being a paedophile. What he did was stupid but he had no idea that he could get in trouble for it.
