Oh. I thought Aquinas came out with the cosmological argument and Paley proposed the design argument. I'm actually quite interested with Paley's 'divine watchmaker' idea, kind of interesting. :thinking:

Well, Aquinas last proof appeals to an intelligent designer, and I've read some theologians in following centuries who presumed that the beauty and complexity of creation made it obvious that God exists. Though I think Paley's more relevant today because nowadays many people appealing to scientific discoveries of seemingly irreducible complexity as a way of trying to prove the existence of a designer.
