Christmas Tree: Fake vs Real

Featured Replies

I own a fake plastic tree.

I was going to buy a real one this year but

fuck it

I dont think I'll decorate at all

Im tired of trying to make this crap holiday into something that resembles anything pleasant.

What Ive never understood about Christmas trees

they grow and cut all these trees

and a lot of them go to waste

so some people opt to stop that waste by buying a fake one instead

but lets face it

most fake trees.... suck

theres no fresh piney smell

and unless you get a really expensive one they look fake and brake within 4 years of use anyways

so why the hell dont they keep them planted in the ground and have the customers come and pick out the one they want and THEN have them cut it

that way the ones that dont get chosen dont go to waste and intead get to grow until next year or whenever someone wants to take it home.

Fake tree won.

We have the creepiest mini christmas tree in school,

it's got human eyes which are covered over by fake greenery and then they open and it sings D:

People have screamed after seeing in the hall way.

Fake tree won.

:bigcry:

A GREEN PLASTIC WATERING CAN

FOR A FAKE CHINESE RUBBER PLANT

IN THE FAKE PLASTIC EARTH

THAT SHE BOUGHT FROM A RUBBER MAN

IN A TOWN FULL OF RUBBER PLANS

TO GET RID OF ITSELF

IT WEARS HER OUT

IT WEARS HER OUT

IT WEARS HER OUT

IT WEARS HER OUT

SHE LIVES WITH A BROKEN MAN

A CRACKED POLYSTYRENE MAN

WHO JUST CRUMBLES AND BURNS

HE USED TO DO SURGERY

ON GIRLS IN THE EIGHTIES

BUT GRAVITY ALWAYS WINS

AND IT WEARS HIM OUT

IT WEARS HIM OUT

IT WEARS HIM OUT

IT WEARS HIM OUT

SHE LOOKS LIKE THE REAL THING

SHE TASTES LIKE THE REAL THING

MY FAKE PLASTIC LOVE

BUT I CAN'T HELP THE FEELING

I COULD BLOW THROUGH THE CEILING IF I JUST TURN AND RUN

AND IT WEARS ME OUT

IT WEARS ME OUT

IT WEARS ME OUT

IT WEARS ME OUT

IF I COULD BE WHO YOU WANTED

IF COULD BE WHO YOU WANTED

ALL THE TIME

ALL THE TIME...

Fake's on top again beehotch.

I really don't like real trees much, thier too messy and you can't keep the same one for next year.

I want one like that, I put so little effort into decorating my Christmas tree:laugh3:.

we had a live living tree once, it was grand. we planted it after xmas, its still at my old house when i was little, i think we shall do that next year for my kids

Real ones can be a hassle in a way, having to keep hoovering up everyday, but I know someone who insists on getting real trees and say that it's part of the charm, there's an oak smell, you are decorating up something that was grown by the earth and sticking it in your living room for a month, how weird and fun is that? Instead of some plastic shit in the corner you have something that was genuinely alive.

Well that's pretty close to being exactly what they said, and I can see their point about the charm of maintaining a dead tree, as silly as that sounds. I'm not very christmassy though so for me it's not worth it.
