Piercings and tattoos

Featured Replies

I'm just curious to find out your attitudes towards piercings and tattoos.

Guys does it turn you off when you see a girl with lots of tattoos and piercings or do you find yourself more attracted to them.

Ladies what about you ? How do you feel about guy's and piercings or tattoos

Do you actually have any piercings or tattos of your own ? (they do not have to be coldplay or music related )

You can also post pics of any piercings tattoos that you like or are thinking of getting sometimes in the future.

I like this one. It is quite similar to one on my foot but mine is much smaller

I was surprised to see this new thread, Nadia, because I have from time to time seen another thread with the same theme.

The link: http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=51265

It has 35 pages and is called : Has anyone got tattoos

thanks Nancty I guess the mods can merge it. But I did do a search first and only coldplay tattoos thread came up and I wanted to know about piercings and tattoos in general not only coldplay or music related

I forgot Coldplay - it is a Coldplay tattoos related thread so you found it when searching.

yeah i just did a search for tattoos in the lounge. I don't want to know about coldplay related tattoos just any kind at all as persons might have tattoos of other bands or just general stuff and piercings too

I really like both tattoos and piercings but since I'm a wuss I've only had my ears pierced so far :disappointed: I'd love to get a tattoo someday but I wanna be sure it's of something I wont regret.

One thing I find really gross though is when people have earrings that streach big holes in their ears :uhoh:. It can look nice if the ear has only been streached a little but huge holes are so gross :wreck:

I want to get a cartilage piercing this summer. Tattoos are cool, but I know my parents would never allow it while I'm living with them. :P And if I ever got one it'd prolly be something small, on my hip bone or ankle like a senior I know.

Bright I totally agree with you, a tattoo is something that should be well thought out before you get it as its somewhat permanent and you don't want something on your body that you can't stand the sight of a few years later.

I have seen loads of people with the wide ear piercings. It's intriguing but scary too.

I have two sets of piercings. I think that's enough for me :)

I don't mind small, tasteful tattoos. But I don't really like full sleeves of them.

Especially when people gain then lose weight. Tattoos are gross when they get all stretched out of shape!

As for piercings, those nose piercings that make people look like bulls scare me

Do tattoos show as different colours on black people than they would on white people?

that actually sounds quite cool. Sometimes too big can be too much.

My sister has two or three cartillage piercings. I actually thought about it before then changed my mind.

Tattoos were a huge fad at my high school last year. EVERYONE was getting them, but of really stupid stuff.

They're going to regret it in a few years!

I had considered getting a tattoo quite a few times, and I'm very glad I didn't because ever since, every tattoo I see looks tacky.

Oh and I don't see the issue with this being an un-original thread as the other one was clearly specified towards Coldplay, don't know why it was even brought up.

haha good question

Yeah, she wants to get an upside down treble cleft and a right-side up bass cleft next to each other cuz they make a heart.

Can I ask why you changed your mind?

Yes they are or when you get older and the skin is not as firm as before. That's why people also need to be thoughtful on the parts of the body where they put the tattoos. I once saw a woman with tattoos on both of her breasts. I found it to be quite distasteful but I guess to each his own.

The bull like nose piercings are really very unsightly , I must agree. However I've seen some people with very small studs and it looks quite cute. :)

I actually thought that it might be quite painful, also my skin scars very easily.

I was lucky with my second set of piercings they healed quite nicely.

I did not change my mind because I think they would look tacky or anything. I was just a bit concerned about scarring

Oh. Yeah, I hear cartilage piercings hurt more.

I know a girl who got a couple cartilage piercings....I'm not sure exactly what happened but she had to let them close up and now she has little like...bumps where they used to be.

I don't even have my ears pierced...my mom never took me when I was little (like most of my friends, who got their ears pierced as babies!), and once I got older I've always been too scared!

But I might go over the Christmas holidays...does it hurt?

not if you get it done but a professional with a piercing gun.

I got my first set at 3 months so I honestly cant remember that . Then I got my second set at 18 years old. I will be totally honest with you, it did not hurt at all:)

It hurts a bit at first, but once they're in, it's really not bad. The only thing is you have to leave them in for awhile, so you have to pick a pair to wear all the time and I know (at least for me :P) you can't wear jewelry in gym so I waited til summer to get mine done.

It's great to have them done though.

Nooope it doesnt hurt, at least I didnt think so. I was kinda nervous but it happened so fast that I didnt have time to react. I got my ears pierced about a year ago I think .

I don't like tattoos at all. Piercings are okay if they're not too excessive.
