What Was Your Biggest Disappointment of 2010?

Featured Replies

What album disappointed you this year? What didn't live up to expectations?

Mine has definitely got be 'Surfing The Void' by Klaxons, after waiting ages for a follow up to their fantastic debut, 'Surfing The Void' was very mediocre bar a couple of exceptions.

My grades, definately. And the fact that I didn't start playing any instrument or went on theatre.

MGMT's new album... what a bad album

This. People said don't judge the book by its cover, but I'm pretty sure we can now judge albums by their cover arts.

Albums! :P

And I love 'Congratulations' , I really think it is a brilliant album!

Compared to OS, Congratulations is pretty bad for me.

I've never listened to either one. :uhoh:

MGMT's Congratulations

&

Arcade Fire's The Suburbs.

Don't kill me, but Neon Bible was my fav. and I thought they might top that this time! But The Suburbs are my least fav. or their albums. With that said, it's still good, just didn't meet my expectations.

AND M.I.A.'s Maya, still good but no where near Kala.

Take That's new album, after the greatness of The Flood it only had a couple great tracks on it.

Seriously, Congratulations feels more like an 'album' whereas OS didn't, AND OS had a few dud tracks...

I'd have to totally disagree. I felt that OS worked extremely well as an album and had a similar sound on every song (except one I think).

I found congradulations way too boring and a really bad take on getting that 60's surfer pop feel to an album

Weekend Wars and Pieces of What are really bad songs...seriously. Congratulations is just so cool, with some great riffs and the surfer pop sound is spot on I think!
