I have the flu :cry2: I'm gonna rest up and see if I feel OK later, in which case I'll be going out for drinkies with some friends...but at this rate I think I'll be at home in bed :(

I am at home as well. A friend should have been here, but her old mother was not feeling well so my friend preferred to stay with her mother. We use to spend New Year's Eve together.

 

Instead I had my two neighbours here for some sandwichbread with salmon, crabfish tail salad and shrimps - and wine. Then coffee and petit four plus Grand Marnier.

 

My neighbours are both elderly, so they retired some hours ago. One of them is suffering from a cold since Christmas and is coughing a lot.

 

Now less than 10 minutes before New Year. The fireworks has begun to intensify - and it is stormy weather outside. The view is always very nice from here.

 

 

EDIT - Fireworks really intense between 0:05 and 1am. :awesome:

 

The neighbour with a cold came back and we raised our glasses / toasted to 2011.

Went to a town to party, had to go through my local city to get there, good thing I didn't go out there as the place I was going to go had this gigantic fight and a bunch of people got stabbed.

Well it's not that bad at all, you'll get that inevitably in any City or built up place.

Scuffles perhaps, but multiple stabbings? I doubt it!:stunned:

I went to visit my best friend and her boyfriend who lives 3 hours away from where I live. There were 5 other friends staying at their house with me for the weekend and it was one of the best NYEs I have ever had.

 

We had a nice dinner first and then we went to town to watch the fireworks (which sucked though, because there were too many lame people around) and then we went to a club and danced the night away....the music they played was fun...old funk and soul stuff, then stuff like the Kinks, Rock'n'Roll and old Ska haha....it was so much fun....we got drunk, but not too much fortunately....just fun drunk....

 

so yeah....I am glad it was just like I wanted it to be:dance:
