When do you think LP5 will come out?

It's just a job though at the end of the day, especially for someone like Vicki, she's a PA, doesn't matter who it's for.

I essentially do the same job as she does, the only difference being that I'm not working for rock stars. And whilst I'm happy when the business is doing well and I like the guys I work for, when I get home and switch off or am on my lunchbreak I don't want to think about work, I certainly wouldn't like people who are only after information about my bosses following and tweeting me on my personal account.

Anyway, I didn't mean to start a debate, I was just agreeing with an earlier comment, it's just my opinion, that's all. :)

So we better take it easy and see what happens / IF anything happens. But of course I hope that the poster's optimism is well founded.

I'll be honest. I can definitely empathize with the growing sentiment of restlessness and discontent around here. I was really hoping to hear something by this past Sunday and ever since I swear I could hear "the ticking of clocks" dragging on slower than ever, day by day. But then I stepped back and thought about all of this. And I've come to a conclusion.

We don't recognize how fortunate we really are. Think about it- we have the most amazing, kind, and charismatic guys on the planet creating the best music ever made (as far as I'm considered) for us. They've already put aside 10 years that could have been spent with their lovely parents, siblings wives, and kids in order to make this incredible music. This is time they can never get back.

I don't know about anyone else but as far as I'm concered new music from Coldplay is in a class of it's own. For me it's always been a level for almost everything good that can possibly happen and then a mile up from that a level for hearing Coldplay's new music. Think about it. They're the one band who never disappoints. Always gives it everything they have. Doesn't focus on two/three singles like some artists but the whole album. Even their non-singles are so good it's a felony to buy specific songs and not them all. Not to mention many bands don't comment on studio progress but once or twice a year, if that. The guys are so selfless they give us an update monthly, if not every few weeks. They really do care about us fans.

So is it a slight disappointment we haven't heard any news? You could argue that. But in the grand scheme of things I'm just glad for all the music they're already made. They could have canned In My Place and quit after the first album. They could have given up after struggling with the third album and ended the band. But they didn't. They persevered through everything. And just think. If A Rush of Blood to the Head had been rushed, Clocks wouldn't have been put on. I don't know about you but that's one song I can't imagine Coldplay, nor music as whole, without. So I'm more than glad they are taking their time on this if need be. I know the waiting gets tiresome and frustrating sometimes but you know what? I bet whenever we hear that album and our minds are completely blown (for a 5th time!!) by how incredible it is, we'll all realize just how well worth the wait this album was.

I totally agree - well put!

Their music is like wine - it gets better in time. So I want them to not rush things, but to take their time and continue making SUBLIME MUSIC.

Post of the Decade @coldplaying.com

Only in my wildest dreams.

We should try to get them to dedicate it to you at Glasto or something.

That would be the epironic concert moment of the year for Coldplaying.com.

yes I just made up that word, epironic = simultaneously epic and ironic

You are so right. Great great post. If given the option I'd rather wait an extra year for a great album rather than accept a good album now. But as we know they've spent such a long time on this album (it'll be the longest period between Coldplay albums) which is great to see because it shows they really want to go through every single grain of it. I'm feeling it might just be their best yet!

I have faith in my favorite band. I'll wait what it takes for the release of the new album :)

I agree :)

But I think we waited long enough :P

I think that the upcoming album - LP5 - is worth waiting for.

ya cant rush these things, they know what they are doing a hellova lot better than we do, it's their baby. timing is everything, tom petty's "the waiting is the hardest part" comes to mind but i really dol like the the anticipation and build up, it will make it all so much sweeter.

definitely -- plus, it's not like they've been in the studio for the past three years and keep setting back release dates or anything. some people might find it frustrating that we haven't been given a release date yet, but... i mean, it's possible that they don't even know the exact date, right? :P

You're rightttttttttt. It will be awesome, I know.

You're right, they gave us fantastic works,I'd like if they could give us some "technical" information at least, for example if there are many major/minor key songs, perhaps some atonal one... But,as you said,we can wait enjoying the fantastic work they have done.

Once again, waiting is not a problem. Just give us some clue what the f*ck is going on with LP5. What the hell all this festivals means? Give us at least title and single, you already have it.
