That said, “Every Teardrop” isn’t quite as hooky as “Vida,” but it’s got a forward momentum all its own, particularly Jonny Buckland’s ringing guitar jabs and its Eno-esque wall of sound. Whether there’s a backlash remains to be seen, as we have until October (and two more singles) before the full album, only the band’s fifth, drops. Just for comparison’s sake, U2’s fifth album was their breakthrough, The Joshua Tree, so the ambitious Martin and company certainly have their work cut out for them.

Yes me too. I've been reading that website for years now and it's a respectable one.

I've read many times on the fora that LP5 will be released in October which makes sense because the labels release their big selling cds in October/November since it's the busiest shopping period.

I also wonder if those 2 singles will be new songs or will it some of the new live songs?

We also had another site (non-US) claim the album will be released July 1, but this article sounds much more believable.

I think october is The month..

This is a picture I found from a fan who met Will in Venice the day after HJF. In the comments (they're in Italian) the guy says he casually met Will the day after the gig since he had decided to stay in Venice with his wife while the other boys rushed back to London. He also says that Will said LP5 would be coming out in October.

My guess would be Monday, 27th of September, but Viva La vida was on a Wednesday, so I'm no so sure.

My thoughts on the start of the LP5 tour

 

I've thought before that the album would come out in September. But, now I think we will probably have the tracklisting and the release date announced in September, but it will probably come out in mid-October.

 

My thinking is that the after the album comes out, the boys will tour from then until late December. Then take maybe January and February off, then start up again with a longer tour. I believe it was Phil who said it would be a mini tour after the album's out. So that's why I think this may happen.
