Hopefully you know what I mean, I'm kinda having a really hard time making the title be what I'm asking. :|

I'm interested in people's views on this.

Oddly I saw the same message about Phil Harvey's partner? (I have no idea who Phil Harvey is but that stuck in my subconscious) And I also thought the same thing, but is he some sort of manager or background Coldplay person?

I did wonder about, if he's some person who doesn't keep himself in the spotlight, he's not a celebrity, he just happens to know the band, then to start getting overly interested in his private life is definitely obsessive. It's more understandable with a relationship with Chris and Gwyneth, because they are both in the spotlight, but for example even wanting to know who Guy's woman is would be creepy.

It almost confuses me to be honest about why people wouldn't want to know this stuff about things that they like, I actually tend to be a stalker because I happen to get ridiculously obsessed with things and have the need to know EVERYTHING about it, and I thought everyone else was the same way.

But then I remembered it's cause I'm autistic, which leads me to believe that I'm totally mistaken and in the minority. :anxious:

I never knew how apparently creepy it was until people were like "FJSLKFHGDS" at me.

So I suppose this thread is also me wondering what's acceptable. :|

But really I'm just interested in everyone's views.

Does it even really matter as long as you don't do anything with the information other than learn it?

Oh! So you asked about Phil Harvey? Hahaha.

I can see your point, I also have an over-active mind and find myself looking up things that generally I wouldn't even have much of an interest in, but in the moment I want to know.

Haha no. I don't care about Coldplay at all. :P

I am confused as to what you just said meant. :|

Oui.

Thread needs moar opinions.

I was relating to this, I'm not autistic but I have an over-active mind at at times I want to know EVERYTHING about whatever it is I happen to be looking up. I guess it's fine to wonder, but NEEDING to know over days or weeks is really strange.

I think as long as you have the maturity to not use your vast amount of knowledge, share it with people extensively, and treat the person in question like a creeper, then I don't think it's that big of a deal.

It's French for yes.

What's oui?

Oui is "yes" in French.

What's oui?

It's a gaming system which requires shaking a small white remote control in front of a TV.

It's French for yes.

Is there different kinds of autism? Because you don't seem autistic to me.

That's basically what I think too.

Ohhh, I get it now.

If that's strange, I'm afraid to know what it is when it gets into years. :|

I find it interesting that we've had no people being like "OMG EVERYTHING IS BAD U GUISE PRIVACY BLEHBLEH" yet.

Hahahaha.

Is there different kinds of autism? Because you don't seem autistic to me.

Yeah, there's a whole spectrum.

I was put into a crapload of groups and programs and stuff when I was younger and I know how to hide it a bit, especially on the internet.

It's painfully obvious in some settings though.

i r speshul yay

And have you never seen the way I like to go on and on and on and on and on and on about Adam Young? That's totally part of it, man. :P

But this isn't about me, it's about what the thread was made for okay~

I think it depends. . . like, for a celebrity, I think it's okay to know their background, favorite bands, etc. But I don't think it's acceptable to be searching for, for example, pictures of their children.

On the other hand, for a regular person (so not famous) person, I think it's okay to try to get to know them a bit, as long as you're not trying to be creepy. Because after all, the person you're asking can determine themselves whether or not they should tell you the info.

Too far- Address, phone number, siblings, family details, full name

Okay- Age (sometimes), name, first name, country, state, favorite music, movies, books, tv shows, etc

A = what you would feel comfortable with anyone knowing about you

B = what the other person would feel comfortable with anyone knowing about them

Anything outside of A, B, (and both A & B) = LINE HATH BEEN CROSSED FO SHO

Basically... it depends. In its purest form, anything outside of B is crossing the line I suppose.

I don't even find this forum that creepy, but maybe it is because I avoid thread like Post pictures of the gorgeous Chris and Post piccies of the sexy Mr Berryman.. and I have been avoiding Coldplay Partners as well, because I asssumed nothing good would be in it :P

PS. Not really related to the topic, but you were talking about autism. Yeah, there's different forms and I think Tammi has Asperger, right? That's a mild form, kind of, and means you pretty smart too! :D

One of my friends suggested that I have Aspergers because I avoid people like the plague but thats just a wallop of cynicism and shyness that I have around anyone I dont know really well.

Has anyone made you watch the movie Adam Cresty?

Nope, but I watched BenX which is about a guy with autism hinting more at Asperger, although I don't have autism. It was still very interesting and I did recognize a lot of his traits/problems :(

^Is it any good? :surprised:

I find most mental illnesses fascinating.

Autism very much so but Bi Polar disorder particularly.

Thats the one I will most likely be diagnosed with.
