well, I live in Minneapolis, and the nearest show for the next tour is Milwaukee, and that's 6 hours away. I'm trying to get my mom to take me and my friend, totally paying my own way, but it's a school night, I don't have the money right now, it's just not going to work out... :cry: I wasn't going to go down without a fight, but there's really nothing I can do :(

It depends on the guitar you're getting. I know that if you want an electric guitar, they have packages that you can get. They come with, for example, a Fender Squier (the "learners" guitar), an amp, the wires you'll need, a learners book and maybe a gig bag. That can be about 200, it depends. I got my first guitar, an Aria acoustic (some cheapo brand) for 100 bucks. My Telecaster was around 650, though... :dizzy: But it's worth every cent that I paid.

 

 

It really just depends on the brand you want, what type model and where you're getting it. A lot of times you can bargain with the seller and get quite a deal!!

 

wow! its cool that as soon as i open this thread again i see: GUITARS!!!! they are my new found love!! im so obsessed and i soooooooooo want one! im saving up to buy one, because i really want a great deal, about learning, im not concerned, i know people that know how to play and teach, and after a few chem and math clases i teach myself to do almost anything!

650 for a telecaster...that's not bad. i figured they would be more expensive. but, since im kind of a newbie on guitars...what would you recommend, an acoustic or electric?? i prefer electric, but my mom says it will make "too much noise"... i've only half-played acoustics, and im not bad...
