Why do I have to be AWAY when Radiohead come to MY hometown!?!?!

This sucks because:

1. They played Kid A on the second night!!

3.

i'm from Sydney and came to New york for a 2 week holiday to check out my works new office that opened in soho, and see radiohead, and see new york.

i just got back from soho with my friend dave, and in order to explain the insanity of what just happened, i have to explain the variables that played a part in deciding it.

first: my friend Pip tells me about a cafe in soho called Cafe Gitane.

second: i go there one day, i liked it, i recommended it to dave.

third: we woke up late after being exhausted from the last two days at a All Points West.

four: following my recommendation, dave suggest we go to Cafe Gitane for lunch.

five: dave decides to wear his radiohead shirt.

six: when we got to the cafe, we wanted to sit outside. we couldnt at first, but then the customers who had the table decided to sit inside. dave and i sit outside.

seven: we order an extra coffee after our meal because it was raining a bit. during that time, a girl walks past, sees daves radiohead shirt and strikes up conversation about how good they were at the festival.

eight: a few minutes later, the girl comes running over to us and says estatically "OH MY GOD THOM YORKE IS HERE"

we look over the road, and there he is, wearing the same red jeans as he did last night on stage.

nine: we had just finished our coffee so we were able to quickly pay and get up leave.

the girl runs over to him and shakes his hand, he smiles and says bye to her, and walks accross the road and down the street away from where we were.

dave and just thought "fuck it" so we went up to him. dave said "hey thom," he turns to look and says "hey" and keeps walking.

dave, wearing his radiohead shirt says "guess where i was last night," and thom smiled.

we both shook his hand and i said "i've come from australia"

he says "really? thats fucked up."

i said "well, for work too,"

thom says "oh cool"

i said "thanks heaps for last night"

he says "no problem"

we say "see ya"

and he goes "cheers"

then he walks off.

WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!

we were just feeling crazy after that.

insane.

on the way home we walked past a shop and saw him buying something at the counter, but we decided to leave him alone.

INSANE. wow.

he's really short. lol

i actually cant believe it, and am so lucky to have met him.

i feel like a bit of a spoilt brat. i came to new york for a holiday, and have just had all these insane experiences. like, how lucky was that considering all those variables.

anyway, there you go.

---> I am in Soho all the time, my best friend's dad works there.

UGH again!! Call me a crazy fan all you want but ....

:bigcry:

the gallaghers are so predictable, their act doesnt work anymore, it might be funny to some people, but it isnt surprising anymore. you could guess they would come out with that.

Radiohead pen new Palahniuk score

Radiohead have written the score for the film adaptation of Chuck Palahniuk's 2001 book Choke, the author has revealed to the BBC.

Palahniuk's 1996 novel Fight Club was made into a film starring Brad Pitt and Edward Norton.

Choke has also been adapted for the big screen and stars Sam Rockwell.

Speaking to 6 Music, Palahniuk said he listened to Radiohead while writing the book, and it was "incredible" the band had written the film score.

Final credits

"Clark Gregg [Choke director]... knew that I'd written Choke while listening to [Radiohead's 1993 debut album] Pablo Honey, with Creep over and over and over," Palahniuk told the Shaun Keaveny Breakfast Show.

"So Clark got Radiohead to contribute a song; to write a song for the very end of the movie, the final credits.

"Apparently Radiohead liked the movie so much, they've written the score."

Asked if he felt honoured, Palahniuk said: "I quit believing in my own life at this point! My life is just too incredible to be believable anymore. It's a living dream."

Choke is due to be released in November.
