  • Lol I haven't been here in 5 years but I decided to pop my head back in for some nostalgia. Seems like this was my last post so here's an update... I finally saw Radiohead live in Manchester in 2017 a

That's amazing. Or maybe I'm easily impressed cause I've been listening to too much Chris Martin live. ;) :P

Great voice

taken from atease, in the latest NME magazine there's an interview with nigel and here are some relevant portions to it:

'We're pretty much working all the time,' he said, adding that, while it was great the band could record whenever they like, keeping the whole band focused was tricky sometimes.

'It's hard; I have a tough job because I have to do a lot of personnel management. That's no reflection of them as people; that's just how it is when you have a body of work with any band. It's very difficult to try and keep things moving, keep things focused and exciting for everybody.'

Godrich warned that, despite the band indicating that they hope to play some new songs when they headline the Reading and Leeds Festivals in August, a follow up to 2007's In Rainbows might be a little way off, explaining, 'I think it's fair to say that it will be some time before an album comes out.'

This is exciting that they might play a few new songs in these upcoming shows, but sucks that it will be a while before a new album comes out... so much for hoping for a new album by the end of the year or early next year. My guess is that the earliest we'll see a new album is about a year from now... :(

edit: now that I think about it more although i'm a bit disappointed, at least I'm glad that they will not rush the album and make sure that it sounds great!

Radiohead are easily the best band in the world at the moment. They've made 6 consecutive GREAT albums, four of which I think are among the greatest of all-time (The Bends, OK Computer, Kid A, and In Rainbows, in no order)

And Thom singing live... is just breathtaking. No one can even compare to him in my opinion.

Wow, you're the same Prospekt girl from the coldplay section who didn't like radiohead and found Thom's eye funny?:stunned:

If it's you, i'm so glad to see you got into them after all haha.

I love the entire In Rainbows From the Basement video collection on iTunes, it's the best thing to have on my iphone and be able to watch on the spur of the moment. I also have the whole Thumbs Down webcast on my ipod, well the audio of the whole thing, and it's so great to listen to sometimes.. most memorable quote is when the dude is introducing the band and he goes something like "That's guitarist Ed O'Brien. he's over 9 feet tall and carries an oxygen tank in his trousers to help him breathe at the high altitudes he inhabits. Oh and that is lead singer Tho.m Yorke. He of course absolutely hates cats, trucks, and people. But he seems to be having a good day."

Interesting about that article... i actually didn't know they were headlining some festivals, i hope they play some new stuff. I can wait for the album, for some reason it feels like just yesterday we found out In Rainbows was coming out in just 10! days. But it's been almost 2 years!! time flies excruciatingly quickly.. i dunno, IR was the first album that came out since I fell in love with them, and I actually felt a part of the whole thing.

Dont tell us that youre not on atease Dave

I was registered ages and ages ago, but since then I have forgotton my username & password, and the email account used has since been closed

Lol, that's not true. That sounds made up. :P

I've always liked Radiohead, just not as much as recently. And I'm sure I was only joking about Thom's eye, although I don't remember saying anything about it.

But yeah, I'm glad I got more into them too. :)

Ive been listening to follow me around today. The latitude version. And ive got some other versions, its exactly the same :stunned: Thom did good live!

Director: Thom Yorke Wrote New Song for New Moon Soundtrack

According to the film's director, Thom Yorke really did write a new song for the soundtrack to the Twilight sequel New Moon.

New Moon director Chris Weitz confirmed the news in an interview with HitFix.com that took place at Comic-Con. According to HitFix, Weitz will get his first listen to the track tomorrow. "Unless it's sounds of him belching, I think I'll put it in," Weitz said. To be honest, there probably is a market out there for sounds of Thom Yorke belching."
