Radiohead

I always have a hard time listening to music without video on YouTube. If its on YouTube, something is supposed to move. I am probably sharing a plight that only applies to me.

  • Lol I haven't been here in 5 years but I decided to pop my head back in for some nostalgia. Seems like this was my last post so here's an update... I finally saw Radiohead live in Manchester in 2017 a

Today I bought my first CD. (Coldplay 2003 Live doesn't count, right?)

The Eraser.

I wanted it to be Kid A but they didn't have it at that store, and oh well, I spotted The Eraser on the shelf...

edit: first CD, as in, a real physical album.

whaaaa. how old are you? I'm old

p.s. The Eraser is such a beautiful album.

Haha my previous post sounded kinda wrong. That's because I download everything. I wanted to say that this is the first album that I actually bought. :D

Loving the CD "case" so far :P, I'm about to listen to the album now.

edit :dozey:

I bought once an album from an artist from here but I like to think that that didn't happen

yeah I got that.. I'm still old :P I couldn't only download music and never buy cds or vinyl. I love to collect them.

I just realised I didn't answer you. XD

I'm 14.

I love to collect CD's/Vinyl (though my vinyl collection is still very small). As quick and easy it is to download albums online, I don't like it as much because it takes the aesthetic value from me. I mean I just love going to a store looking through the cd's, once I have on waiting online while looking at the tracklisting and then looking through the booklet while listening to the album.

That's what I wanted to experience. Especially because I've only heard Black Swan and Atoms For Peace before. I'm planning to buy some more albums that I really like. Just for the sake of having them.

.

You two just made me really want more albums.

Just finished listening to The Eraser. I already really like it. I didn't expect that to happen.

Black Swan is even more amazing than the acoustic version of it (which I heard).

i love the feeling of putting a cd in and pressing play and enjoying it. my cd player even makes a little rewinding noise when it reaches the end which is always nice touch at the end. i cant afford to buy every cd i want to listen to so i do resort to downloading illegally. but more often than not i end up buying an album physically if i enjoy it enough. i also love the look of all my albums in my cd holder. looks far better than cover flow on itunes.

yeah that's pretty much what i do too. I download the ones I wanna hear first and if like them I'm gonna buy them.. I also have a list of cds I want to buy, though I haven't updated it in a while hehe. of course radiohead I always buy. and some others. And if i'm in a record store I jsut might buy some new albums I haven't heard (if I have money) because I see them there and I just have to hehe And if they are playing some new album there and it sounds really good I might buy it if I have the money.. like i did buy the new Eels album.

Just heard the new song (Harry Patch).

Wow. Just wow. It's unbelievable how Thom and Jonny and the rest of the band never cease to amaze me.

"Wow" just about summed up my feelings after my first listen yesterday. The strings especially are just absolutely beautiful.

Strings were good, but they have done better

vocals could have perhaps been better but i think it's great. I mean it shows another direction that Radiohead can head into which is music based soley on orchestration. I mean if you read that interview it seems as though this song was an experiment that they've been meaning to try of just teaching a song to an orchestra and doing it all in one take. I mean the vocals can sound off at times, and aren't as polished, plus I think there should be more reverb but otherwise I think it's really good!

It just amazes me how natural Jonny seems at composing for big orchestras. He may even be better at that than he is at guitar.

 I liked it:)
