YEEAAAAAAH!

exciting times

oh yeah! when you think about it since the release of In Rainbows there hasn't been a dull moment. I mean they released the album so uniquely, then they had 2 webcasts from the studio, toured extensively from 2008 into 2009, are working in the studio, thom did a solo show, they have shown 4 new songs (Super Collider, The Present Tense, Harry Patch, These are my twisted words), in a week they'll be playing a few more shows in Europe, these rumours of EP's being released. They sure know how to treat their fans well. Very exciting times!

  • Lol I haven't been here in 5 years but I decided to pop my head back in for some nostalgia. Seems like this was my last post so here's an update... I finally saw Radiohead live in Manchester in 2017 a

Who says it needs to be this monday?

It could be anytime they release a EP

Woah new ep! :wideeyed:

But everything in there is referring to this specific track, so (assuming that any of this is true, I mean) maybe the release date means will just be a single, as opposed to something bigger like an EP/LP?

This could just be some elaborate trick someone who got their hands on the leak decided to do. I feel like maybe that's just what band wants us to think and they did do this themselves, though. I keep going back and forth on this. The song is 320kbps, which is impressive. Most of the time, leaks aren't very good quality, I think. So that's one reason for why it could be the band themselves... Hmm.

This is all so mysterious. :P

But an article I read said the poem was very Thom Yorkey... I'm not familiar enough with him to agree with that but I dunno.

I hope it's an EP. But "iiii nr of tracks.1 iiii" that suggests it maybe just be a single? Doesn't it? Or is that just referring to this leak?

It does look neat though with the art.

Seeing as the band leaked Kid A back in 2000, I wouldn't put anything past them.

I can just imagine Thom Yorke having a blast with all this hoopla.

I'm going to try to not listen to the new song as much until the new EP (if their is one) comes out so I don't ruin it.

But gosh Im so excited now

Thom Yorke is a member of this very forum.

who knows? i may be thom yorke :sneaky:

It seems like they have set this all up in order to make us go crazy!

I'm so excited, just thinking of all the possibilities

Phyisical or digital, I just want a release

I agree... they've done thing before to get the fans crazy... perhaps this is it

first, you're avatar rocks, just wanted to say

and yes, this is just something we had to figure out and piece together

maybe more things this weekend will come up leading up to this supposed EP

I think a lot of people have figured out a lot, like who leaked it and all that and his relation to In Rainbows songs getting out.

I bet it's Thom

thanks man

I think that the band released it, and wanted us to figure it out. I mean they have been very cryptic in the past with things (song titles, etc), that this song would definitely fit quite well. It seems like it would be thom becasue the other members don't write the same way as that note was formed. i still can't wait to see what happens monday... i just hope i don't get my hopes up

i've got the feeling that we're all getting our hopes up over nothing. but in the end there will be something, if it doesnt come monday it might be next month or early next year. it's just good to know that the band is working hard on awesome new music.

would people say that These Are My Twisted Words is a new direction for the band? or does it feel like they are just recycling and mashing up some of their old sounds??

It reminds me of Weird Fishes.

and I think it's not a new direction, but an expansion off of In Rainbows.

it doesn't feel like they're recycling sound.

maybe the addition of more orchestral elements

yay i get to make a powerpoint presentation in my information system subject at uni. we can do it on whatever we like and of course i'm doing radiohead. filled with weirdy and wacky pics of thom haha.

that's awesome

talk about how they've released this song, or something like that! :P

Radiohead: We're Not Making Any More Albums

Sorry, Radiohead fans. The band won't be releasing any more full-length records. In a recent interview, the group's lead singer, Thom Yorke2.gif, said: "None of us want to go into that creative hoo-ha of a long-play record again. Not straight off. I mean, it's just become a real drag. It worked with In Rainbows because we had a real fixed idea about where we were going. But we've all said that we can't possibly dive into that again. It'll kill us."

The band, whose other albums include OK Computer, The Bends, and Kid A, will be focusing on digital singles and EPs, such as the recently released "Harry Patch," a tribute to a World War I2.gif vet. All proceeds for that song will go to the British Legion.

What the hell? How can this be true?

This reminds me so much of the "worm buffet" thing.
