Wow you people suprise me. I've been an Oasis fan my entire life, and I actually became a fan of coldplay because of them..people that like Oasis generally like Coldplay.

 

So my opinion is ths I'll always be an Oasis fan to me they're the best, they have NOT just made 2 good albums... if you just look at Oasis's albums they're not all that great it's Oasis' B-sides that make them a brilliant band.. Songs like "The Masterplan", "Talk Tonight", "Acquiesce","Half The World Away", "Whatever" never actually made it to an album but they are by far some of the best songs Oasis has.

 

Coldplay...wow do they have potential, I can't tell you how much I love "A Rush of Blood to The Head" it's a great album and will be a Classic. I believe you can put it up against any Oasis album and say it's just as good or better, but you have to factor in...Oasis left out all these great songs for B-sides. Coldplay is a great band and in time they may be just as good as Oasis, especially if their next album is as good as the last 2, the question will be can the stand the test of time...which I think they can.

Radiohead have nothing to prove. Coldplay still do.

i think that coldplay are better than the oasis. coldplay and radiohead do such a different kind of music that can't be compared, even if radiohead have been an inspiration for Coldplay

Both bands are equaley as good as each other , remeber radiohead have been around alot longer than coldplay and have more experience and a bigger following . however coldplay have gone from strength to strength and doing exceptionly well with there second album . coldplay seem to look up to bands like this with hopes of reaching there pinacle - which at the moment they are

so basicaly the two bands still remain to be some of the uk's finest :twisted:

ok so now that ive actually listened to all 3 bands...id say....each has its own.... sound.....radio head is dark and veryyyyyy electricy and oasis is kind of 80's "please make me happy " music.....and coldplay is my modern kind of music :shrug:

i love coldplay the most. but yet, i think oasis and radiohead are both brilliant. it's all just a matter of opinion i think. we can't really say which band is better because they'll always be someone disagreeing with you.

Well, as the saying goes, to each his own.

 

There is no right or wrong answer to this topic, despite the fact that many will fight tooth and nail to try and prove the contrary. I happen to, of course, adore Coldplay, I love Oasis and damn-near worship Radiohead. All for different reasons. There are fantastic things about all of those bands: what makes Oasis great is not the same thing that makes Radiohead great, and what makes Radiohead great is not the same thing that makes Coldplay great and vice versa, etc., etc., I count down the days to Radiohead’s new album (Hail to the Thief! Yeah!) with eagerness just as I count down the days to Coldplay’s new album. I happen to personally prefer Coldplay more at the moment, but I really do not think it is a fair thing to call such stellar bands “better” than the other. Radiohead is the veteran: they really got me and countless like me through High School without totally losing it, Oasis is the I-Don’t-Give-A-#*@%-Here-It-Is-Like-It-Or-Not and I love them for it, and Coldplay are the new fellas on the block: they have such an incredible future in front of them and it really is exciting to think of what wonderful things they’re going to do for music. (I mean, really: what other band out there today is like a breath of fresh air when their music comes on the radio? My * humble * opinion is that them and bands like them are going to save modern rock from falling into insipidity. . .)

 

So I guess my point is: everyone is entitled to their own opinion. It’s just not fair to throw that opinion in someone else’s face as though it were gospel.

Definitley COLDPLAY! Neither of the other bands compare at all. They don't even sound like em. I don't see the resemblance. Chris has an awesome-beautiful voice! (I didn't know he took voice lessons! :) )

 

Now Travis ain't a bad band!

i say coldplay. they are my favourite by far.

well i have to say Coldplay because i love them to death, to me there is no comparison.

I just listened to an album of Radiohead. Never heard them before. I know a lot of people love them here. I could not get into it! :-o The album was Amnesiac. Was this a good album of theirs? I like mellow, but this was way too mellow. Are their any other albums that are worth listening to?

Radiohead fans...what do you like about their music?
