^cool off! steph...radiohead is very good band!! :D :D :D i love most of their work, specially the older stuff. i totally agree with compguy347, regarding pablo honey, the bends, and even ok computer being similar to coldplay. its not a 100% similarity, but there's some resemblance. however, unlike him, i prefer coldplay! ;)

I have a feeling that if Bigger, Stronger had a different name, the Radiohead vs Coldplay comparisons would've never started.

 

The Bends is a beautiful, beautiful album. So is Pablo Honey. Everything else sucks..in my opinion. I don't really get OK Computer's hype, it just seems like a bunch of noise and electronic sounds all over the place. I have all their albums because I feel like I should give them a chance, but I only like Bends and Pablo Honey. HTTT is okay, nothing like their first stuff though.

 

I don't like the way Thom mumbles so much.. but it something you eventually get used to. I prefer Coldplay by miles, though these two bands are completely different.

^yes..in my opinion the bends is their best album. however, ok computer is an amazing album, despit the fact that it requires some time to get the hang of it.

I'm sorry, but that quote stood out to me the most. I don't know how you think PH is a beautiful album, but have you even listened to Kid A? Now that's a beautiful album.

logical comparison

 

I think the comparison is logical.

Radiohead plays, or rather played, the same genre that Coldplay do now.

And I bet that many old Radiohead fans lost interest in them after the "Kid A" album, and many of them are now top Coldplay fans. :)

 

IMO the old Radiohead songs (from The Bends & OK Computer) are some of the best Pop/Rock tracks ever, but nowadays Coldplay are kings! :D

hmmm yea the bends could be coldplay ish music but ok computer is definately not alike in my opinion,some of radioheads stuff i dont like,some i do,where as i like all coldplays stuff

i never got how coldplay was like radiohead. i think coldplay is much better then radiohead, but radiohead is still pretty good. :)

Lyrically and musically, Radiohead are better than Coldplay, but Radiohead have been around for longer, so I'm not going to knock Coldplay (too much) :P :rolleyes:
