newpalaceplayer, but she left the forum. I met her here, we found out we had similiar music taste and decided to see some concerts together. It worked out well, she's a very nice person.

I also met two others from this forum but I think they also only posted in the music section.

It's great when that happens. I now have several friends I've met through here, or whom I've found out happened to be on here after meeting them at gigs.

I miss Jazz.

I agree, those type of experiences kind of stop you from trusting people you meet online. Something very strange happened on an internet forum on which I posted regularly back in 2005/6. A friend of a guy, who was a regular poster on this forum opened a thread saying that his friend had committed suicide and apparently he asked him to let people on the forum know. Many members of the forum actually met this guy in real life as he went to a few forum meet ups and they were in regular contact with him. Although many people were very upset when they first heard the news, they started to question it rather soon because several people received abusive messages from his email address on msn. Someone somehow contacted the local council (where you have to be registered in Germany, I think) and they found out that this guy was still alive. I never met him in person but I spoke to him a couple of times on msn and I believed the whole story and I was rather upset about it. This guy's clearly got some issues and I do feel sorry for him but this definitely taught be more careful in the future.

That's really terrible that he would put all of his online friends, and I'm sure real life friends under the believe that he was dead.

In general from what people have said I think and know there are a lot great people here or also in general online. But like with any person you meet it's always good to be careful until you really get to know the person, or meet them or videochat.

It's ridiculous to hate someone just for having a business or fashion range or something like that.:dozey:

It's ridiculous to hate someone and invest so much time making fun of her just because she's the new big thing in pop music and because a boy is the biggest star among teenage girls :dozey:

:awesome:

I met a CPer once. I won't say who, though, because I'm not sure if it's OK with that person for me to talk about it.

I've met none.

Except my friend Chelsea.

And my mom.

And my sister.
