Listen, we normally don't discuss or make any announcements as to why members get banned, temporary banned but we understand that you and as other members have concerns and want to know the details of things. We explained why the thread was closed and why accounts were disabled.

Look, a lot of this reminds me of the dfit issue a while back. I still think from that incident that people deserve to know if someone is doing something very fucked up to other members. I believe that's why Nick posted.

 

I can see the sense as to why Nick was banned, in the topic which he re-edited the first post to explain the full story, he was going on and on about it with further details all here for anyone to read, apparently it's gotten to a serious level and yet Nick was being continually exclusive about it. Though I'm not sure it was definitely the right decision I can understand it.

 

What I don't understand is why it couldn't have been handled a little better in explaining why decisions were made, Ren very simply explained why this was done, for a forum members own protection, and Lore, like myself, could understand this. We shouldn't need to wait hours for an 'official post', there's too much deliberation in your processes, there was no reason why you couldn't just tell us this in the first place.

 

Also agree a lot here though too.

Personally I think we should trust the mods in what they are doing. From what I have read from what Nick posted on this forum (and also sent to me via email... the long story of what happened) it seems like this could be a dangerous situation, and I think it's a good idea to keep the accounts disabled until things settle down or are solved. I feel that it's best that the mods further investigate all of this and decide how to proceed over time.

 

I can understand why people might be annoyed as a lack of information, but I think it's meant for a reason that we don't know everything at this point since the situation is or may still be heated.

I agree with you that people deserve to know stuff and I'm glad that we know about it, but as I mentioned before, him revealing that stuff is NOT why his account was temporarily disabled.

I understand the frustration some of you are having now, but the explanations we have provided thus far in comparison to forum guidelines have been provided. I know you all may want every single juicy little detail that has been discussed behind the scenes for the past couple of days as to why the decision was made, but it would not be appropriate to post it here right now. This is nothing personal against Nick.

 

Once everything is back to "normal" with Nick (not sure how else to put it, I'm sure that will be misconstrued), then I think it will be fine for us to explain things a bit further as you suggest. I'm sure people will be like, "oooohhhhh yeah that makes sense now."
