I need a new hobby.

I'm being serious here.

I'm bored as hell when I have free time. I don't like TV too much. Well not by myself anyways, I know that's kinda odd. So too broke to learn how to horseback ride on my own and my friend who has one and could teach me for free is moving tomorrow.

Going to start my garden when I get my first paycheck, then get back into running once I finally get a real night's sleep. Cooking too but that also takes money and having the kitchen free for me to blast my music while I do it (and dance a little)

I'm going to be broke as fuck for a while now. So something cheap?

I'd love to have a real vacation, but won't be able to til maybe Thanksgiving time or December.

You told me that I needed a hobby...I presumed you had the answers Nick.

Erhh, how about buy a second hand instrument or borrow one from somebody and learn it?

There's a fair number of websites on which you can get tabs and what not if you got a guitar...if you don't already know how to play guitar :uhoh:

I like that. I know I suck with music but at least I can try. I'm gonna ask around and see if any friends can teach me the piano? Probably not

Cooking doesn't cost a lot of money (In fact shopping right and getting food as cheap as possible is a hobby in itself). It's not really that time consuming though.

Well I had to borrow for gas money so right now 10 dollars is too much til the first check this Friday. But also with cooking, I like the house to myself to put the music on and relax while I do it. Or someone to do it with.

I applied already for that! Waiting for word back..maybe I should call and ask?

When my mom's school starts again, I'll teach reading to her kids. I cannot wait. I love being surrounded by people with the same IQ as me.

Until then, I'm stuck posting randomly on here. I'll probably disappear once things start rolling later this month.

If you had a bit more money (~$50) I'd say you should try fish keeping, I do that and it's time consuming with all the water changes and everything but once it's all set up it's very rewarding

Maybe try volunteering (or working as a second job) at an animal shelter? They always need an extra hand. . . Of course that would really only be good if you like animals

I'll definitely try. Crafts...ummm nah.

I thought you were a keen gardener?

Gardener yes, keen...doubt that. I started a garden earlier and didn't keep up with it. But I will this time. The last few years it did quite well.

what about making collages?

find old newspapers and magazines and start cutting out and putting stuff together.

writing stories and poems is nice too.

meh, I guess it will get boring after a while since you sit still while doing it.

//good music always helps though//

But yeah, as other people have said: learn how to play an instrument!

oh and knitting yes haha.

I wish I knew how to knit(I tried once and ugh no, I'm not patient enough).

Dude do you have an xbox or a ps3?

Those are great hobbies.

How about biking, swimming? Writing, Reading? Grabbing a Probabilty book and fooling casinos? Writing could be very relieving for you at this moment, getting those demons out and put them on ink and paper, it could turn out great and purifying for you.

You can always try doodling, especially if you're just looking to pass the time. Whenever I'm especially bored and can't do anything else I make really intricate doodles with patterns and themes repeating across a whole page -- you just fill a page up with patterns and you'd be surprised how legit it turns out looking. It's satisfying making all those meaningless little drawings and kind of makes my mind turn off for a bit and relax. It's really nice, and obviously really cheap.

Nice thing about doodling as opposed to hardcore "drawing" is that you don't need technical skill or dedication to doodle, either :P
