August 17, 201114 yr Not sure why, but waiting to hear the official tracklist is driving me insane! What is the delay now?! same :\
August 17, 201114 yr The delay— they're still finishing it. :laugh3: The band wants 10 songs, Chris wants 13. There's (oh boy, I'm gonna do it!) trouble in paradise. :awesome:

August 17, 201114 yr I think we'll be very disappointed about Paradise because I think it will be overproduced and won't have these brilliant melodies.
August 17, 201114 yr ^I think we'll be disappointed because we're putting our expectations too high, so when it comes out everyone will think it sucks.
August 17, 201114 yr I'm totally reminded of this: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mJc30Cv_WBA]Scott Pilgrim VS the World - Wallace's Test - YouTube[/ame]
August 18, 201114 yr i think that the title "Paradise" is sarcastic cuz i think the song will not be happy and upbeat. i'm guessing it will be a darker and more epic version of the scientist with a blues-y guitar and a prominent bass line like in GPASOYF:sneaky:
August 18, 201114 yr To me "Paradise" sounds like something like "Yellow", with Chris or all the boys in a beach. Not running. Maybe doing some other things. I think that they could use the atmosphere of the TV series "LOST" and use all the misteries of the island, etc. I think that it would be really amazing. And the word "Paradise" itself, reminds me a lot of the word "Parachutes".
August 18, 201114 yr :phu: I think paradise will be a mix between paradise and paradise :blank: Post of theday. :)
August 18, 201114 yr I dont think Paradies is that we what we expect it to be. It's not about a Paradies, Fun and Love in my view. ;P But im pretty sure it will be a slower Song but no Ballad.
August 18, 201114 yr So...Billboard described Paradise as a "bold anthem." Face it guys, it's not going to be a slow/quiet/dark song. That's the opposite of an anthem. We're probably looking at Viva la Vida / Every Teardrop / Lost! / Clocks material here.

August 19, 201114 yr Ever listened to the French or Russian or Israeli National anthems? Very somber and dark, but still bold...and dare I say, catchy. I personally don't want to guess. I'd rather be surprised. But all these theories are a lot of fun to read and think about. :). Not saying it WILL be like that, just that it's possible.

August 19, 201114 yr ^I think we'll be disappointed because we're putting our expectations too high, so when it comes out everyone will think it sucks. Yes and our expectations are so high because they choose a completely new song for us as the second single and everybody thought it will be HLH/CB... and they thought that Paradise must be better than the two songs. But they didn't choose it because it is better, its because they wanted to do something unexpected.
August 20, 201114 yr Ever listened to the French or Russian or Israeli National anthems? Very somber and dark, but still bold...and dare I say, catchy. I get what you're saying, but there's a difference between national anthems and pop anthems; the latter are (almost) exclusively energetic, soaring, massive...I guess it could still be somewhat dark, but I think slow and quiet is out of the question.

Oh yeah, I DO realize the difference, but there are some rock anthems like Let it Be that are still slow and reverent. :)
August 21, 201114 yr So...Billboard described Paradise as a "bold anthem." Face it guys, it's not going to be a slow/quiet/dark song. That's the opposite of an anthem. We're probably looking at Viva la Vida / Every Teardrop / Lost! / Clocks material here. I think that it will possibly follow along the lines of Politik but in a happy upbeat sorta way like ETIAW. You guys do realize the release date is the day after the tenth year of 9/11? I don't know why they would call it Paradise...
August 21, 201114 yr I really don't expect much to come out of "Paradise" since i'm not too impressed by all new songs so far. I hope i'll be proven wrong, though.
