Yeah definitely the summer´s set to rise. I wrote from memory so I made a mistake with the quotation. I listened to it again now :) Corrected lyrics on first post

...and I think it's "THOSE stormy skies" and not "THE stormy skies" ( I understood it that way, and SKIES is plural so...)

But feel free to correct me if I'm totally wrong^^ ;)

Oo-oo-oo, oo-oo-oo, oo-oo-oo.

Oo-oo-oo, oo-oo-oo, oo-oo-oo.

When she was just a girl,

She expected the world,

But it flew away from her reach,

So she ran away in her sleep.

Dreamed of para-para-paradise,

Para-para-paradise,

Para-para-paradise,

Every time she closed her eyes.

Oo-oo-oo, oo-oo-oo, oo-oo-oo.

Oo-oo-oo, oo-oo-oo, oo-oo-oo.

When she was just a girl,

She expected the world,

But it flew away from her reach,

And bullets catch in her teeth.

Life goes on,

It gets so heavy,

The wheel breaks the butterfly.

Every tear, a waterfall.

In the night, the stormy night,

She closed her eyes.

In the night,

The stormy night,

Away she flied.

Chorus:

I dream of para-para-paradise,

Para-para-paradise,

Para-para-paradise,

Whoa-oh-oh oh-oooh oh-oh-oh.

She dreamed of para-para-paradise,

Para-para-paradise,

Para-para-paradise,

Whoa-oh-oh oh-oooh oh-oh-oh.

La-la

La-la-la-la-la

La-la-la-la-la

La-la-la-la.

Still lying underneath those stormy skies.

She said oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh.

I know the summer's set to rise.

[Chorus x2]

Oh, oh. Oo-oo-oo-oo-oo.

[Chorus]

Oo-oo-oo, oo-oo-oo, oo-oo-oo

Oo-oo-oo, oo-oo-oo, oo-oo-oo

Oo-oo-oo, oo-oo-oo, oo-oo-oo

Oo-oo-oo, oo-oo-oo...

I don't think it's summer, but there's definitely an "m" sound in there. "I know the sun must set to rise," maybe.

That´s a really good guess. It would make more sense than summer for sure...I´ll change the lyrics on first post :) After all, summer does not rise...weird I did not think about it before :)

Amended lyrics on first post :)

I'm also okay with that ;)

Thanks :)

Oooh that's a good guess

Yeah, it's definitely 'I know the sun must set to rise'. Just one last thing: I think it's 'lying underneath those stormy skies' instead of 'lying underneath the stormy skies'. Does anyone agree?

Okay, in the end we have this :

When she was just a girl

She expected the world

But it flew away from her reach

So she ran away in her sleep

And dreamed of para- para- paradise

Para- para- paradise

Para- para- paradise

Every time she closed her eyes

When she was just a girl

She expected the world

But it flew away from het reach

And the bullets catch in her teeth

Life goes on, gets so heavy

The wheel breaks the butterfly

Every tear a waterfall

In the night, the stormy night, she'd close her eyes

In the night, the stormy night, away she'd fly

And dreams of para- para- paradise

Para- para- paradise

Para- para- paradise

Ohoohoooh

She dreams of para- para- paradise

Para- para- paradise

Para- para- paradise

Ohoohoooh-ohoh

Lalalalalalala

(So OR Still ???) lying underneath those stormy skies

She'd say: "Ohoohoooh, I know the sun must set to rise"

This could be para- para- paradise

Para- para- paradise

Could be para- para- paradise

Ohoohoooh

This could be para- para- paradise

Para- para- paradise

Could be para- para- paradise

Ohoohoooh-ohoh

This could be para- para- paradise

Para- para- paradise

Could be para- para- paradise

Ohoohoooh

RIGHT... ? (fingers crossed)

MXY: Earlier I posted the edited lyrics on the first post of this thread. Do they differ from the version you just wrote?

valypan : Yes a little... I was just wondering if in the end, it was : "SO or STILL lying underneath those stormy skies" (cause someone else has earlier posted lyrics with "STILL"...)

And on your first post you also wrote "THE stormy skies" instead of "THOSE stormy skies"...

I was simply looking for some opinion... but it doesn't matter, now I definitely think it's "SO lying underneath THOSE stormy skies" :)

Yes I see what you mean! I think both so and still could fit. I left both and corrected the to those :) Now first post should reflect these changes

Yeah he pronounces it funny but I think inspected would not make much sense with "but it flew away from her reach" ?

Yeah it should be expected.

but it never sounds like it.

just another thing to be annoying in the song huh?

;)

hee hee...

Thanks for posting the video here. What an amazing version of Paradise! They are all in top form! Chris voice, Jonny´s guitar, Will´s great drums and singing, fantastic bass. It just does not get any better than this!

I edited the first post lyrics accordingly :) Thank you!
