Car Kids is obviously a theme of the album. Who cares about the song? If it's not on the album or the following singles, it's not good enough a song. Simples.

I agree, could be a hidden track.

As far as I've seen, Car Kids is as much of a song as 'Ballad of 1000-1' and all of those other songs from the 60 minutes interviews. I reckon they were mostly just unfinished pieces, like 'Loveless' on the Viva demos; just bits and pieces.

I noticed in that 'they've got a ticket to stride' article, Chris said that they had finished 16 and at that time were going to pick ten, as it is we have ended up with 14 and will probably get the other two as b sides! Excited to find out which two they are!!!!

Think about it people. Car Kids is probably nothing more than an idea for the title of the song eventually called Charlie Brown. We already know cartoon hearts was a title they flirted with, and the song makes reference to a group of young (kids?) hanging out, and stealing the (parents?) keys to take the car and do so.

 

I hate to say it and ruin all your hopes but it is likely that Cartoon Heart, Car Kids, and Charlie Brown are the same song.

Nope^ Charlie Brown and Cartoon Heart are probably the same song. Car Kids is different.

Q. I've been wondering this for a long while now as I'm sure many others have, it was on Chris' shirt, the home page background. What does Car Kids mean? Is it a lyric or a song on the new album? Thanks Oracle!!

Yeah, as far as I know it was a song pencilled in for inclusion on Mylo Xyloto but didn't make it on to the final tracklisting. We may hear it one day, who knows?

Charlie Brown with B-side Car Kids sounds really reasonable.
