I was standing right behind you! The towel almost fell on my feet :P. I was the girl with blonde hair and a striped dress.

I LOVED the show. Still dreaming about it.

Some pics;

Haha cool, I think I remember you:D What a great night that was yesterday, definitely worth all the waiting in the cold!

Sounds like an amazing gig!! :D

I think after the sterility of the crowd at the 02 gig in London I may have to get myself around to European gigs to enjoy a bit of atmosphere (as well as meeting old friends and enjoying different cultures) :)

Yikes at the short set though - sort it out boys

With all the reviews I can't fall behind offcourse. I made 2 'complete song' video's from Fix You and Every Teardrop is a Waterfall.

I was first row at the right side of the stage facing the catwalk.

Thanks for the pics! That's a very good review too. OOR likes to bash Coldplay but this time they simply couldn't. It's a little cynical still, but the only thing they truly complained about were Chris's vocals during Viva La Vida.

I'm spending half my day on this thread, thanks everyone!

Yeah ! we were all there no wonder they had to stop playing during UATW because of the crowd-noise , heheheh !

Thank you :santa3:

Well, we've had a GREAT night, you know. :wink3:

Yes, Busybeeburns, we (8 people from Groningen en Assen) enjoyed also this spectaculair gig. 4 direct at the right site in front the podium , 2 at Cj en 2 at Ae.

Just read the OOR review, I think the reason why the setlist is just getting smaller is because of Chris voice. Shiver (with it's high notes) could have ruined it more... Of course I'm not sure, but it can be... (I didn't hear Chris couldn't sing VLV any more, the ohohoh was so huge!)

I was also thinking about this... Kinda worries me, how are they gonna pull off the big shows coming up next year if Chris' voice can't fully go trough a 85 minute set?

Show was amazing anyway, the fact that the audience was louder than Chris sometimes made me feel like all of us (crowd+band) were doing the performance together.

Then there were 2 of your group in my section as well. That is so funny:lol:

Hope they didn't see me freak out that much:P:lol:

Yeah it was amazing! I was singing along during Up In Flames and I couldn't believe I heard that much singalong. I stopped singing for 5 seconds and it was amazing how many people were singing even those 'unknown' songs!

I really don't think Chris's voice is getting weaker yet. He's never been a pitch perfect singer, but if he has a good day, he can be. I think he's at the top of his game, to be honest.

Edit: And yes, amazing crowd ♥

I agree with you.. I think they can manage a 2 hour show.

I don't want to spoiler the Mylo Program, but with the Guy interview he said that they could play longer, but that they don't do that because I quote:

"We've never been fans of concerts that were too long and I'd rather people went away feeling that they wanted a bit more rather than feeling that they'd seen a bit too much. So I think it is important to keep it short and sweet."

This is actually a good point, but I think nobody would mind if they play too much, I mean everybody at a Coldplay concert pays to see them as long as possible don't they? For festivals they can play short setlists but not for their own concerts!

As for Chris' voice, I think Chris's voice is really the best now of all time, he really sings very well. He just sometimes can't hit the notes because he's just jumping a little to much in my opinion!:D

Listen to this performance of VLV , then compare it to now. His voice is much better and more powerfull now then it was back in 2008

It's a good point, but like you said the fans wouldnt mind hearing more!

I really miss LIJ, Strawberry Swing, DAAHF, Trouble, but mostly Don't Panic!

And I don't mind them dropping them in favor of Lost! or In My Place (sorry for the people who like those songs)

But come on! 90 minutes is nothing compared to the Coldplay catalogue..

There are over 50 albumsongs now. Either add more songs or be creative with the setlist. Because I really would hate it if I would see exactly the same setlist this september!

Would be pretty upset:cry:
