Wow, that really seemed to be special. Congrats, Christa, and thank you for sharing this! :) Good to know that they seemed to choose the right people :nice:

thanks everyone! oh a couple things i forgot was when Chris was talking about Ben & Jerry's ice cream and I thought, " hmmm perfect segway for a schweddy balls comment" and of course one of you wanted me to shout it out hahaha, ( alas no, I'm still trying for a job there) but he did not go down that road! and I do not recall Chris cursing once! and one of the questions was about how a true rock band does not have a perfume or fragrance and somehow the band and Jenny thought up a scent called "Exploding Pigeons"By Coldplay, it was hysterical! too long to tell the whole story but hope you can listen to the show, and by the way did anyone record it?

OMG, "Exploding Pigeons," I'd love to know how they came up with that one!

My other favorite band, or one of the members, now has a fragrance, so if Coldplay ever do that as well I might have to jump off a cliff :uhoh: :P

Great review by Christa. I just wanted to add a few things that happened off air, as i was one of the lucky 20 to be inside of the fishbowl asking questions.

- Every time they played a song during the break, Chris asked for the speakers to be turned off, and even got up to turn one off himself when someone left it on a bit. He said that he hates to hear himself sing, as it gives him the "my voice sure sounds funny on voicemail" effect.

- Chris was very interactive with us during the commercial breaks, asking what people did for a living, etc. One guy sold some kind of facial implant for plastic surgery and Chris joked that he would buy one, just for his right side, and then he could do his own "before & after" demonstration for the product. Another funny thing was when Chris asked "what are you guys doing after this show?". One girl said she was going to Hugh Jackman's one-man Broadway show, and Will cracked us up when he asked if Hugh would be dressed as Wolverine while he sang show tunes.

- People asked Chris about his Howard Stern appearance and he jokingly cursed about the grilling that he got. He commented that Robin is really the evil one, as she sets Howard up to ask the tough questions. I asked Chris if he knew what he was getting into with Howard and he said that there were 3 things he told his manager they wanted to do if they ever hit it big: 1) Get their voices on The Simpsons, 2) Get on Howard's show, and 3) Chris and their manager couldn't totally remember, but he thinks the third was playing at the Super Bowl. He joked that he never imagined it would be easier to get on The Simpsons than on Howard's show.

All in all, just an amazing, once-in-a-lifetime experience and the guys could not have been more genuine or charming.

Aww amazing! Thank you both for the reviews! :nice:

Wow thanks Dave. I love your "inside the fishbowl" account of the day. I thought it was really neat how they had people from all over the country ask the questions, I have to give you guys so much credit for making arrangements and coming into town, it was a beautiful day in the city yesterday.

Thanks Christa and Dave for taking us along with you. It must have been an amazing experience. I kept joking with my husband that I wouldn't be home for dinner on the 9th because I was sure I'd be called to Sirius. :D Guess I was the only one who thought my question was brilliant. :P

It sure was, Christa! I actually think my wife was seated right behind you. I think i saw your name on the chair and said "If this Christa doesn't show up, you can move into the front row." LOL I'll try to get some of her photos up here in the next day or two.

TY Dave!

I've just recorded the Town Hall Q & A & saved it as an mp3 but I have NO idea how to upload it. I don't subscribe to any of those services and I don't want to. If someone can walk me through it, I'll try to up load it. It's 906 mb if that matters. Thanks for any help.

And please pretend like you are dealing with a 6 year old as I'm not very techy.

I do not recall Chris cursing once!

Hey Christa. I wish I would have checked the forum before the show and I would have known you scored a seat outside the bowl. We could have met! I was in the fishbowl and question number 7 (the one about themes for every album) wearing a green sweater.

As soon as the guys walked into the room Chris walked right up to me and said "well this is really awkward." i'm sure he was referring to the fact that there were 20 people sitting in chairs just staring at him in a very quiet room. Then he came up to me and shook my hand. Right after that, he mumbled to himself and to me "the fuck is this?" referring to the glass wall between us then the people outside the bowl. That's when he walked up to the glass and tapped on it and waved to the crowd on the outside.

Here's a few pictures my sister took during the interview. I was seated dead center directly across from Chris in quite possibly the best seat in the house! Here's a few highlights:

- Chris found the room setup to be awkward. As if interviews still make him uncomfortable. I cant believe he still get's squirmy after all these years of being in the spotlight.

- During the interview Chris was checking his iPhone and when he was putting it back into his pocket, he noticed there was a credit card lodged in between the couch cushion and the wall of the chair. I watched him check out the card for a few seconds and finally he mentioned the card on the interview. He handed the card to one of the security guards. This is where my joke came into play during my question when he mentioned my phone on the floor and I told him not to take it like the credit card. Chris thought it was hilarious and so did the crowd.

- During one of the breaks, Jonny, Will, and Guy got up to use the bathroom and Chris stayed behind and spoke with us off the air about whatever we wanted.

-Chris is extremely witty and he looks for every opportunity to insert a joke. Usually it's something that has to do with making fun of himself or the band. I think this shows just how grounded they are and how they truly feel like they are just normal people and have so much more to accomplish.

- Will had the initials "CK" on the tounge his shoes. They aren't into brands so I was pretty sure it wasn't Calvin Klein. I noticed Chris had the same CK on his t shirt on SNL this week. I wish I would have asked will what that meant.

- At about the last 2 questions, you could tell Chris and the guys were drained from the interrogation they had just received. I dont think they are used to answering such deep questions and mostly have to answer the dreaded "what does MX mean?"

Anyway, here's a few pictures to share, enjoy!
