To me, honestly first 5 seconds like sound sympany(spelt wrong) no. 9. The piano part sounds like similar to City of Blinding Lights-U2. The fast paced tempo sounds like Mr. Brightside-The Killers. IMO what do you think?

I didnt think this until I saw the title of the thread and now I do think they very similar in certain aspects. I loved the guitars in Spanish Rain though!

I brought it up on an earlier thread but it got shot down fast lol.. I really think it may be the same song.. At first I was upset Spanish Rain was not going to be used on this album but after hearing DLIBYH, I dont care anymore :)

Just played spanish rain chords on guitar, and put in the DLIBYH lyrics. They totally fit, bar one chord which is added to the chorus. You, my sir, are totally right

Same here! Spanish Rain and Charlie Brown actually nearly share the same chord progression.

They do sound similar in several aspects :nod: But:

 

DLIBYH > Spanish Rain :P

I agree, they sound soooo similiar. But I'm glad because I really loved Spanish Rain.

 

If you try singing Spanish Rain along with the DLIBYH music, it sounds pretty good haha!

I take it none of you guys are aware Spanish Rain was most likely scrapped because it is a complete rip off of Springsteen's Dancing in the Dark, I'm sure unintentionally, but check it out...

i agree. both charlie brown and spanish rain resemble "dancing in the dark" by bruce springsteen. Of course, Chris is highly inspired by him, I believe.

 

but DLIBYH is fighting Paradise like crazy. i can't decide which one is my favourite!
