Sunday Random Poll - Do you listen to the Radio?

Do you ever listen to the Radio?

Proper radio not some internet stream you've made yourself

And if you do, what is your favourite radio stations?

Every day, but really only for a few minutes, and only when I'm driving to/from work. I switch back and forth between a few stations (none of which play current music); if there are commercials or if they're not playing a song I like, I just switch on the CD player for the rest of the drive.

Is it true that one company owns 95% of America's FM radio stations and they control the playlists centrally so there is nothing regional about it (other than a local DJ during parts of the day)

I'm a bit like that as well, I listen to the radio in the car, switching between 2/3 stations if they are playing a song I don't like or are talking.

Longer drives I sometimes use my iPod

Very rarely. I either listen to XM radio on my TV when my parents are out or a couple of stations (mostly NPR) on my stereo when I feel like it.

P3 is my favourite radio station and I listen pretty much everyday.

Noooo... I'm an alt rocker :D

Plus on 99.5 they basically only play 10 songs. But I do enjoy the Kane show

I'm not sure, but I wouldn't doubt it. American radio sucks. It's almost like being spoon-fed by Big Brother.

Not much, anymore.

I primarily listen to CD's and my iPhone when in the car.

I only listen to the radio because my brother turns it on. I rarely turn it on myself. At home I listen to Pandora and in the car I listen to CDs. Anywhere else I listen to my PSP.

I listen to it everyday but for like 20 minutes. Not a particular station just switching through all of them until a song i like is playing otherwise, i turn it off

I hear the radio basically every day on the bus and all that. Though generally if I don't have to I prefer just listening to my Ipod or a CD.

Yeah I agree with that :P The Kane show is so addicting :shame:

Every day, mainly BBC5, sometimes BBC1

Very very rarely. Most of the things they play on mainstream radio is...well, mainstream. Most of which is overplayed, and therefore something of which I'm not a huge fan.

However, we have an indie rock station (Triple J) and a classical/jazz music station (ABC Classic FM), so I listen to those once in a while when there's nothing good on my iPod.

I listen to Rinse FM on the interwebsss ocasionally.

I listen to the main independant radio station here on the real radio

My alarm wakes me up with Radio 1 most mornings and I usually continue to listen to Radio 1 on the way to uni. Although, may I add, I hate 90% of the music they play, I like to listen for the banter mostly!
