Aaaaaargh, this thread makes me think in my teenage years... I also had braces for a few years, and I think the worst is not cutting your tongue. When the dentist tightens the brace... aaaaargh, you can feel your teeth moving!!

My sister had braces! She said the worst was when they had the actual fitting for the braces...she thought she was gonna puke!! something about clay or something.... :dozey:

yeah, they make a plaster mold of your mouth. when i was finished with the whole process they gave me the plaster replica of my teeth that they'd been using. :dozey:

OH MAN! She also said that the tightening of the braces hurt so bad! She couldn't eat after every appointment!

Yeeeah, it's horrible!! You only want to take off all the teeth to stop the pain!!

Last vist they had to resize my teeth, they took this weird sanding thing and were like grinding on them... Oh god, it was horrible!

and you know, the tightening of them dont hurt, it only hurts like hell when they first put them on and youre not used to it

 

i think the cutting your mouth part hurts way more.. because its liek a sharp pain compared to the tightening where its mostly just a little numb
